Sheba, Yemen and the Houthis!
By John M. Wharton 10-24-26
HI FRIENDS! HERE’S A PROPHECY THOUGHT FOR YOU.
Does Bible prophecy indicate that modern Yemen – Biblical Sheba – will receive judgment during the End Times? And what about that militant group the Houthis that are attacking Israel and threatening the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in the Red Sea?
It doesn’t seem that Yemen – Sheba in the Bible – will receive judgment during the End Times.
Google AI Overview 07-31-26 says – “The area of modern Yemen is identified in biblical prophecy primarily through the ancient region of Sheba, associated with trade, wealth, and a questioning voice during end-times scenarios. Key prophetic and historical passages linked to this region include Ezekiel 38:13, Psalm 72:10, and Isaiah 60:6 . .
Ancient Identity as Sheba
Queen of Sheba: 1 Kings 10:1 records the famous visit of the Queen of Sheba from southern Arabia to King Solomon, establishing a historic link to modern Yemen.
Geographic Trade: Ancient Saba (Sheba) controlled the spice and incense routes at the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. . .”
We see Sheba and the West supporting the land of Israel in Ezekiel 38:13.
Ezek 38:3 WEBBE and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
Ezek 38:11 WEBBE and you shall say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates;
Ezek 38:12 WEBBE to take the plunder and to take the prey; to turn your hand against the waste places that are inhabited, and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten livestock and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.
Ezek 38:13 WEBBE Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of it, shall tell you, Have you come to take the plunder? have you assembled your company to take the prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?
We see “the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of it” which is the Western Maritime Nations – surely NATO.
And we Dedan which is portions of Saudi Arabia.
And there is Sheba which is Yemen.
All of these areas will rise and challenge this Russian invasion.
And they’re the only ones who do challenge this Northern invasion.
Sheba will bring gifts to Israel during the Millennium
Ps 72:7 AKJV/PCE In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
Ps 72:8 AKJV/PCE He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
Ps 72:9 AKJV/PCE They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
Ps 72:10 AKJV/PCE The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Again in Psalm 72 we see Sheba allied with the kings of Tarshish and the isles which is the Western world. And these are respectful of the land of Israel during this Messianic time, bringing gifts to offer.
Sheba brings gold and incense to praise the Lord
Isa 60:1 AKJV/PCE Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isa 60:2 AKJV/PCE For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Isa 60:3 AKJV/PCE And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Isa 60:4 AKJV/PCE Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
Isa 60:5 AKJV/PCE Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
Isa 60:6 AKJV/PCE The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
Isa 60:7 AKJV/PCE All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
Isa 60:8 AKJV/PCE Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
Isa 60:9 AKJV/PCE Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
Now in Isaiah 60 we see the Millennium with Christ ruling the earth.
And nations will bring gifts to the land of Israel.
Midian, Ephah and Sheba are all mentioned.
Several Google AI Oveviews on 10-23-26 identify these areas –
Who are Midian, Ephah, and Sheba?
• Midian: Abraham’s son through Keturah, whose nomadic descendants inhabited Arabian desert regions.
• Ephah: Midian’s eldest son representing an Arabian camel-trading clan.
• Sheba: A southern Arabian kingdom (modern Yemen) renowned for spice and gold trade.
Who They Are
• Kedar and Nebaioth: They were sons of Ishmael (Abraham’s firstborn son) and ancestors of ancient nomadic, pastoral tribes of northern and western Arabia.
And again we see “the isles . . and the ships of Tarshish” are the first to bring people of Israel back to the land along with their wealth.
So there are areas of Saudi Arabia, as well as Yemen (Biblical Sheba) that will be at peace with the land of Israel. And they will bring gifts to Christ.
So modern Yemen – Sheba – doesn’t seem to be a trouble maker in the Biblical perspective.
But the Houthis are a problem.
The Bible doesn’t refer to them specifically.
They have fought against the Government of Yemen for the last two decades.
And they haven’t truly negotiated a peaceful settlement.
So they may continue to be a problem for Israel, the West and shipping in the Red Sea area.
What do You think Friends?
God Bless You All!

¡Sheba, Yemen y los Hutíes!
Por John M. Wharton 10-24-26
HOLA AMIGOS!
Ezek 38:11 RVG10 y dirás: Subiré contra tierra de aldeas indefensas, iré contra gentes tranquilas, que habitan confiadamente; todos ellos habitan sin muros, y no tienen cerrojos ni puertas;
Y traerán ofrendas a Cristo.
