Sealed by the Spirit!
By John M. Wharton 10-17-26
Hi Friends! Here’s A Bible Thought For You.
We’re sealed by God’s Sprint!
Eph 1:13 AKJV/PCE In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
That word sealed is sphragizo (sfra-ǰiy'-zō) v. meaning to stamp (with a signet or private mark) for security or preservation per MStrongs.
Google AI Overview 10-16-26 says this about being sealed –
“What “Sealed” Means in Ephesians 4:30
• Greek Word (sphragizō): To stamp or provide with a seal, much like a wax seal pressed onto a letter or document by a king.
• Ownership & Identity: A seal marks something as belonging to a specific owner. Being sealed by the Holy Spirit means God marks believers as His own.
• Security & Authenticity: A seal acts as a guarantee, certification, or security measure to prove genuineness.
• For the Day of Redemption: The seal is not temporary; it secures and preserves the believer safely “for the day of redemption”—referring to the future completion of salvation when God fully claims His people and restores them.”
NOW We Must Not Grieve the Spirit who has sealed us as Christians – Ephesians 4:30 tells us not to grieve the Spirit who seals us!
Eph 4:30 AKJV/PCE And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
DO You See That? We’re sealed unto the day of our redemption!
BE CONVINCED OF THIS! – Philippians 1:6 says that God will keep on doing the good work in us.
Phil 1:6 WEB being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
UNDERSTAND THIS! God has begun a good work in us. Our full redemption.
He will keep on working on us, perfecting us, and completing this work in us, until the day of Jesus Christ.
And that day of Jesus Christ is when the Lord will come and Catches Us Up to be with Him forever!
THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Paul talks all through 1 Thessalonians about God continuing to work on us until the Lord comes for us!
1Thess 1:10 WEB and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
DELIVERED FROM THE WRATH THAT IS COMING! Jesus coming for us will deliver us from that wrath of God that is coming on this world!
1Thess 2:19 AKJV/PCE For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
Our Hope is that we Believers will be with the Lord Jesus Christ when He comes for us.
1Thess 3:12 AKJV/PCE And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
1Thess 3:13 AKJV/PCE To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
It is ALL About our being unblameable before the Father as we come with the Lord Jesus Christ!
WE WILL BE CAUGHT UP TO THE LORD!
1Thess 4:16 WEB For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,
1Thess 4:17 WEB then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
1Thess 4:18 WEB Therefore comfort one another with these words.
That caught up is harpazo meaning to seize – MStrongs!
RWP says that harpazo means to seize, to carry off like Latin rapio.
Jesus will come and catch us up before the judgments of the Tribulation fall on this sinful world.
PRESERVED UNTO THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
1Thess 5:23 AKJV/PCE And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Thess 5:24 AKJV/PCE Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
God will sanctify us unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
NOTICE That Our being sealed by the Spirit is intrinsically connected to that day of our final complete redemption, when Jesus catches us up and away with Him!
Eph 4:30 AKJV/PCE And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
The Spirit keeps us sealed until Jesus comes and takes us with Him!
What do you think about it friends?
God Bless You All!

¡Sellados por el Espíritu!
Por John M. Wharton 10-17-26
Hola amigos!
1Thess 3:12 RVG10 Y el Señor os haga crecer y abundar en amor unos para con otros y para con todos, como también lo hacemos nosotros para con vosotros;
