Christ Jesus is our mediator!
1Tim 2:5 ESV2011 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1Tim 2:6 ESV2011 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
And Notice that He, Christ Jesus is also God!
He calls Himself by the name God uses in Exodus!
John 8:58 ESV2011 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
Moses asked God what His name was. And God said He is “I am”.
Exod 3:14 ESV2011 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Jesus accepted Thomas declaration that He was his Lord and God in John 20:8!
John 20:27 ESV2011 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”
John 20:28 ESV2011 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
John 20:29 ESV2011 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Jesus also says He is of the same essence as the Father!
John 10:30 ESV2011 I and the Father are one.”
John 10:33 ESV2011 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
CBN says this about Jesus use of Greek “ἕν hen“ for “one” in verse 30 above – “one. Greek hen. Neut., one in essence, not one person which would be heir, masculine. This is the climax of His claim to oneness with the Father in verses: Joh 10:18, Joh 10:25, Joh 10:28, Joh 18:29. Compare also Joh 10:38; Joh 14:11. Rev 22:3.”
AND NOTICE That in verse 33 the Jewish authorities understood what Jesus was saying and accused Him of blasphemy, making Himself out to be God!
And in Mark 2:4-7 some friends lower a paralyzed man in front of Jesus for healing. And Jesus forgives this man’s sin!
Mark 2:5 ESV2011 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
Mark 2:6 ESV2011 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts,
Mark 2:7 ESV2011 “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
The scribes (experts on the Law) say Jesus is blaspheming because only God can forgive our sins!
But Christ Jesus is also man.
1Tim 2:5 ESV2011 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1Tim 2:6 ESV2011 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
SEE That these same verses in 1 Timothy 2:5-6 also say that Christ Jesus is man!
And Peter preached to the crowd of people declaring that Jesus of Nazareth is a man.
Acts 2:22 ESV2011 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know –
In John 8:40 Jesus declares Himself a man!
John 8:40 ESV2011 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.
NOTICE That in Romans 5:15, Paul calls Jesus Christ a man!
Rom 5:15 ESV2011 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
AND He, Christ Jesus is also the only mediator between God and we humans!

Jesus explained that we can come to the Father only through Jesus Himself!
John 14:6 ESV2011 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John describes Jesus as an advocate – intercessor – between the Father and we Believers!
1John 2:1 ESV2011 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
That advocate is parakletos – an intercessor (one who entreats of behalf of another) – MStrongs.
But what does Jesus do as our intercessor?
Jesus Mediates between we Believers and the Father so that we CAN receive our promised Eternal Inheritance! That indicates that we WON’T receive this inheritance without Jesus Mediating for us!
Heb 9:15 ESV2011 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
Hebrews 4:15-16 shows us that Jesus as a man was tempted like we are.
So He understands our struggles in this life! And we can be confident that He will HELP us with Mercy and Grace! Amen!
Heb 4:15 ESV2011 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 ESV2011 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 7:25 continues telling us that Jesus is able to entirely save us to the end as we come to God the Father. He is always making intercession for us!
Heb 7:25 AKJV/PCE Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Google AI says this about that word intercession (Downloaded 02-04-26) –

I love Hebrews 9:24 because it makes it clear that Jesus is in the Father'[s presence on our behalf. He is there to speak out for we Believers! Amen!

So Friends, we can make it to Heaven and Eternal Life through our Lord Christ Jesus our Mediator!
