And WOW! Look what Paul had to tell the Thessalonian Church!

Now look what Paul tells the Church in Rome!
Paul talks a lot about we Christians not living in the Flesh.
We have to understand what Paul means by being in the Flesh.
Rom 8:7 ESV2011 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.
Rom 8:9 ESV2011 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Now look at that verse 9.
We Christians are NOT in the flesh!
We ARE in the Spirit!
Paul explains that we are Christians! So the Spirit has to be within us.
And if the Spirit is within us then we are not any longer in the flesh (“the realm of the flesh” – NIV), but in the Spirit!
We can see from the things Paul has to write to the Churches that we are not perfect in this life! And sometimes we do some rather Fleshly things!
All we can do is ask the Father to forgive us of that and to help us do better.
It truly is a learning curve. For all of this life!
Look what John says about sin in our lives now(!) and confessing them to God.
I have marked the verbs that are in the Present Tense and those that indicate a Continuous of Repeated Action! Notice that if we think that we don’t have any sin, and the tendency to sin, in us Right Now we are kidding ourselves!
1John 1:8 AKJV/PCE If we say that we have [Present Tense] no sin, we deceive [Present Tense] ourselves, and the truth is [Present Tense] not in us.
