1Pet 1:3 ESV2011 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pet 1:4 ESV2011 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
God the Father has born us again into a living hope through Jesus Resurrection from the dead!
This leads us to an inheritance (an heir ship) that is imperishable (it won’t decay) and is undefiled (unsoiled, pure) and this inheritance is perpetual, it won’t fade away!
And more . . God our Father is keeping this promise (guarding it, keeping an eye on it) to make sure that we get it!!
Now I don’t know about you all? But I think that is a Mighty Fine sounding promise for ALL of us Believers!! It sure is something Worth Living For and Aiming to Get!!
Google AI (Downloaded 01-06-26) does a really good job of explaining why the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is SO Important to our Christian Faith. And it says –
“The resurrection of Jesus is crucial in Christianity because it validates His claims as the Son of God, proves His victory over sin and death, provides the basis for believers’ salvation and future resurrection, and empowers the Christian life, making faith meaningful, as stated in key verses like 1 Corinthians 15:17, Romans 1:4, and 1 Peter 1:3-4. This same Google AI article also says –

So death is the penalty for our sins! But Jesus has conquered sin and death!
Rom 6:23 ESV2011 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Sin and Death entered into this world by the sin of one man – Adam – in Genesis 3:6 when he ate the fruit that God had told him not to eat!
Rom 5:12 ESV2011 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—
But now we have life (instead of death) through Jesus sacrifice for sin!
Rom 5:17 ESV2011 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
Rom 5:18 ESV2011 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

I’m not sure if we realize just how Important Our Resurrection really is to the Father. Look how Paul describes it here in 1 Corinthians 15 –
1Cor 15:16 ESV2011 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised.
1Cor 15:17 ESV2011 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
1Cor 15:18 ESV2011 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
1Cor 15:19 ESV2011 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.
1Cor 15:20 ESV2011 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
1Cor 15:21 ESV2011 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
1Cor 15:22 ESV2011 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Cor 15:23 ESV2011 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
Just look at how Paul describes this wonderful event – our hope – our Resurrection!
