Will Iran be free?

At this moment Israel and the USA are attacking military sites in Iran! Iran’s leadership has been largely destroyed! The USA and Israel hope to weaken the ruling Regime to the point that the people of Iran can rise up and get control of their country.
It would be wonderful if the people of Iran were able to gain freedom for awhile.
I’m dubious that that freedom will last for a long time.
Iran has a clear role to play in End Times Bible prophecy.
Bible Prophecy pictures Iran as an ally of a Russian alliance that will move down into the Middle East trying to invade the land of Israel at the very end of those seven years of the Great Tribulation.
Ezek 38:3 WEB and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
Ezek 38:4 WEB and I will turn you around, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you forth, with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords;
Ezek 38:5 WEB Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet;
Ezek 38:6 WEB Gomer, and all his hordes; the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north, and all his hordes; even many peoples with you.
There in verse 5 Persia is the area of modern day Iran. In fact, Iran was called Persia until the mid 1930’s. And Ezekiel prophecies defeat for this Russian axis that will come down against Israel!
Ezek 38:18 WEB It shall happen in that day, when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh, that my wrath shall come up into my nostrils.
Ezek 38:21 WEB I will call for a sword against him to all my mountains, says the Lord Yahweh: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
Ezek 38:22 WEB With pestilence and with blood will I enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him, and on his hordes, and on the many peoples who are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and sulfur.
So this Northern group of nations will be defeated by the Lord!
But it doesn’t say that the people and area of Persia, modern Iran, will be completely destroyed. They will still exist.
In fact, there is another people in the area of modern Iran called Elam. And Bible prophecy talks about them also.

So there is ultimately, hope for the people of Iran. They are going to go through a stiff learning curve with the Lord. And remember that Jesus, our Lord, will return and rule this earth, and rebuke many nations.
Rev 19:11 WEB I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war.
Rev 19:15 WEB Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.
Joel 3:2 WEB I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will execute judgment on them there for my people, and for my heritage, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations. They have divided my land,
The road ahead will continue to be hard at times. But the Lord does have a plan for us. And for the nations.
