John 19:30 AKJV/PCE When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

What was finished?

Jesus life and death fulfilled many prophecies and accomplished God’s plan of Salvation. I have listed what I think are the more important points and verses.

The Debt for ALL Sin has been paid!

Col 2:13 AKJV/PCE And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Col 2:14 AKJV/PCE Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Rom 5:8 AKJV/PCE But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Rom 5:9 AKJV/PCE Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

1John 1:9 AKJV/PCE If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Prophecy fulfilled.

Birthplace

Herod asked the chief priests where the Christ had to be born. They told him Bethlehem. Micah 5:2 –

Matt 2:6 AKJV/PCE And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

Virgin birth

The angel of the Lord told Joseph that Christ’s birth by Mary would fulfill the prophecy. Isaiah 7:14 –

Matt 1:22 AKJV/PCE Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Matt 1:23 AKJV/PCE Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Thirty pieces of silver

Judas agreed to lead the chief priests to Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. This was prophecied. Zechariah 11:12 –

Matt 26:14 AKJV/PCE ¶ Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

Matt 26:15 AKJV/PCE And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Matt 26:16 AKJV/PCE And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Suffering/Death to save us –

Jesus lived a sinless life and died as a sacrifice for sins. Isaiah 53:5-6

Isa 53:5 AKJV/PCE But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isa 53:6 AKJV/PCE All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

2Cor 5:21 AKJV/PCE For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Rom 5:8 AKJV/PCE But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Rom 5:9 AKJV/PCE Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Rom 5:10 AKJV/PCE For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

The Old Covenant is fulfilled and replaced by the New Covenant.

The law of Moses showed people their sins. But that didn’t give them power to stop sinning. Salvation through Christ does give us power to live the lives God wants us to live.

Heb 10:12 AKJV/PCE But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Heb 10:14 AKJV/PCE For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Heb 8:8 AKJV/PCE For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:12 AKJV/PCE For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Heb 8:13 AKJV/PCE In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Rom 10:4 AKJV/PCE For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Gal 3:23 AKJV/PCE But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Gal 3:24 AKJV/PCE Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Gal 3:25 AKJV/PCE But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Gal 3:26 AKJV/PCE For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Eph 2:15 AKJV/PCE Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

I believe these references show us that the Lord Jesus Christ has finished the sacrifice for sins and He has accomplished the plan of Salvation to save us from our sins.

Profecía cumplida.

Lugar de nacimiento

Herodes preguntó a los principales sacerdotes dónde debía nacer el Cristo. Le respondieron que en Belén. Miqueas 5:2

Nacimiento virginal

El ángel del Señor le dijo a José que el nacimiento de Cristo por María cumpliría la profecía. Isaías 7:14

Treinta piezas de plata

Judas accedió a llevar a los principales sacerdotes ante Jesús por treinta piezas de plata. Esto fue profetizado. Zacarías 11:12

2Cor 5:21 RVG10 Al que no conoció pecado, lo hizo pecado por nosotros, para que nosotros fuésemos hechos justicia de Dios en Él.

Rom 5:8 RVG10 Mas Dios encarece su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.

El Antiguo Pacto se cumple y es reemplazado por el Nuevo Pacto

La ley de Moisés mostró a la gente sus pecados. Pero eso no les dio poder para dejar de pecar. La salvación por medio de Cristo sí nos da poder para vivir la vida que Dios quiere que vivamos.

Heb 10:12 RVG10 Pero Éste, habiendo ofrecido por los pecados un solo sacrificio para siempre, se ha sentado a la diestra de Dios,

Heb 10:14 RVG10 Porque con una sola ofrenda hizo perfectos para siempre a los santificados.

Heb 8:8 RVG10 Porque hallando falta en ellos, dice: He aquí vienen días, dice el Señor, cuando estableceré con la casa de Israel y con la casa de Judá un nuevo pacto;

Heb 8:12 RVG10 Porque seré propicio a sus injusticias, y de sus pecados y de sus iniquidades no me acordaré más.

Heb 8:13 RVG10 Y al decir: Nuevo pacto, da por viejo al primero; y lo que es dado por viejo y se envejece, cerca está a desvanecerse.

Creo que estas referencias nos muestran que el Señor Jesucristo consumó el sacrificio por los pecados y cumplió el plan de salvación para salvarnos de nuestros pecados.
