The Nations will reel like their drunk!

HI FRIENDS! HERE’S A PROPHECY THOUGHT FOR YOU.

Zechariah saw in the end times that the LORD will make Jerusalem a heavy burden to the nations. All those nations that will come up against her will just reel (like their drunk) from the heavy burden that is Jerusalem!

I think we see a bit of that confusion on the nations even today when they come against Israel. But what Zechariah 12 and 14 see’s here will be much worse!

Let’s take a look!

Zech 12:1 WEBBE A revelation, the LORD’s word concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

Zech 12:2 WEBBE “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and it will also be on Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.

Zech 12:3 WEBBE It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.

NOTICE – That on this day all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it Jerusalem! Yep! That sure sounds like the day of the LORD that we see in Zechariah 14:2 – the LORD will gather all the nations against Jerusalem!

Zech 14:1 WEBBE Behold, a day of the LORD comes, when your plunder will be divided within you.

Zech 14:2 WEBBE For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.

Zech 14:3 WEBBE Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zech 14:4 WEBBE His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move towards the north, and half of it towards the south.

I believe that Zechariah 14:1 here indicates that this is the day of the LORD that we see in Zechariah 12:3. That day of judgment when Jesus returns to this earth and fights against those nations that have come against Jerusalem and the land of Israel.

Now back to Zechariah 12 –

Zech 12:4 WEBBE In that day,” says the LORD, “I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

Zech 12:5 WEBBE The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of Armies their God.’

Now the outlying areas of Judah will naturally look to the central government in Jerusalem for leadership and protection.

Zech 12:6 WEBBE In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire amongst wood, and like a flaming torch amongst sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.

But, interestingly, it seems here that the LORD has other plans for the land of Israel!

He is going to empower the leaders of the outlying areas in Judah. And they are going to be like a pan of fire – a flaming torch among sheaves.

They will burn up those enemies they fight against!

What a picture!

Zech 12:7 WEBBE The LORD also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of David’s house and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.

I think this is a really interesting thought here that I don’t think many notice.

The central government in Jerusalem is maybe a bit heavy handed as far as the rest of the country – Judah – is concerned. And apparently the LORD agrees!

So He will make sure to save the outlying areas in Judah first! That way David’s glory and the central government won’t be able to magnify themselves above the rest of the country.

Such an interesting concern for the LORD to have for the outlying areas at this dangerous time of battle for Israel’s very existence!

Zech 12:8 WEBBE In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble amongst them at that day will be like David, and David’s house will be like God, like the LORD’s angel before them.

Zech 12:9 WEBBE It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

And I think that is where we will see the LORD Himself, back on this earth (Zechariah 14:3-4)!

And He will enter into the fight against those many nations that have come up against the land of Israel.

Zech 14:3 WEBBE Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zech 14:5 WEBBE You shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel; yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. The LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.

I believe we are those holy ones who return with the LORD.

We are taken up to the Lord in the air above. And it says that we will be with the Lord forever!

1Thess 4:17 WEBBE then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

So we must be with the Lord as He returns to this earth to rule it.

Look at the picture of this that we see in Revelation 19:11-15.

Rev 19:11 WEBBE I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war.

Rev 19:12 WEBBE His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself.

Rev 19:13 WEBBE He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called “The Word of God.”

Rev 19:14 WEBBE The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen.

Rev 19:15 WEBBE Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

And the geographic shaking of this earth that we see in Revelation 16:16-20 fits right in with the incredible movement of features on this earth that we see in Zechariah 14:4-5 when the LORD returns and stands on the Mount of Olives!

Rev 16:16 WEBBE He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, Megiddo.

Rev 16:17 WEBBE The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

Rev 16:18 WEBBE There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men on the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.

Rev 16:19 WEBBE The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Rev 16:20 WEBBE Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Now back to Zechariah 12 –

Zech 12:10 WEBBE I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

And here we see that the people in the land of Israel will see the LORD back on this earth. And they will recognize Him for who He is! He is Jesus Christ, the one they have pierced!

John 19:34 WEBBE However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

John 19:37 WEBBE Again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they pierced.”

And they will mourn greatly for what was done to the Lord.

Zech 12:11 WEBBE In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Zech 12:12 WEBBE The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of David’s house apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

Zech 12:13 WEBBE the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;

Zech 12:14 WEBBE all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

But we see in Zechariah 13:1-2 that there is a spring of cleansing for the sins of Israel.

Zech 13:1 WEBBE “In that day there will be a spring opened to David’s house and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

Zech 13:2 WEBBE It will come to pass in that day, says the LORD of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will be remembered no more. I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.

Amen.

¡Las Naciones se tambalearán como sus borrachos!

HOLA AMIGOS! AQUÍ HAY UNA PROFECÍA PENSADA PARA TI.

Zacarías vio que, en los tiempos finales, el Señor hará de Jerusalén una carga pesada para las naciones. ¡Todas las naciones que se lancen contra ella tambalearán (como quien está ebrio) debido a la pesada carga que representa Jerusalén!

Creo que ya hoy observamos algo de esa confusión en las naciones cuando se enfrentan a Israel. ¡Pero lo que Zacarías describe en los capítulos 12 y 14 será mucho peor!

¡Veámoslo!

Zech 12:1 RVG10 Carga de la palabra de Jehová acerca de Israel. Jehová, que extiende los cielos, y funda la tierra, y forma el espíritu del hombre dentro de él, ha dicho:

Zech 12:2 RVG10 He aquí, yo pongo a Jerusalén por copa de temblor a todos los pueblos de alrededor cuando estén en el sitio contra Judá y contra Jerusalén.

Zech 12:3 RVG10 Y será en aquel día, que yo pondré a Jerusalén por piedra pesada a todos los pueblos; todos los que se la cargaren serán despedazados, aunque todas las naciones de la tierra se junten contra ella.

¡ATENCIÓN! ¡Que en ese día todas las naciones de la tierra se congregarán contra ella, Jerusalén! ¡Así es! Eso ciertamente suena al día del Señor que vemos en Zacarías 14:2: ¡el Señor reunirá a todas las naciones contra Jerusalén!

Zech 14:1 RVG10 He aquí, el día de Jehová viene, y tus despojos serán repartidos en medio de ti.

Zech 14:2 RVG10 Porque yo reuniré a todas las naciones en batalla contra Jerusalén; y la ciudad será tomada, y las casas serán saqueadas, y violadas las mujeres; y la mitad de la ciudad irá en cautiverio, mas el resto del pueblo no será cortado de la ciudad.

Zech 14:3 RVG10 Después saldrá Jehová y peleará contra aquellas naciones, como peleó el día de la batalla.

Zech 14:4 RVG10 Y se afirmarán sus pies en aquel día sobre el monte de los Olivos, que está en frente de Jerusalén al oriente; y el monte de los Olivos se partirá por medio de sí hacia el oriente y hacia el occidente haciendo un valle muy grande; y la mitad del monte se apartará hacia el norte, y la otra mitad hacia el sur.

Creo que Zacarías 14:1 indica aquí que se trata del día del Señor que vemos en Zacarías 12:3; aquel día de juicio en el que Jesús regresa a esta tierra y lucha contra las naciones que han venido contra Jerusalén y la tierra de Israel.

Ahora volvamos a Zacarías 12 –

Zech 12:4 RVG10 En aquel día, dice Jehová, heriré con aturdimiento a todo caballo, y con locura al jinete; mas sobre la casa de Judá abriré mis ojos, y a todo caballo de los pueblos heriré con ceguera.

Zech 12:5 RVG10 Y los capitanes de Judá dirán en su corazón: Los habitantes de Jerusalén serán mi fortaleza en Jehová de los ejércitos su Dios.

Ahora, las zonas periféricas de Judá naturalmente buscarán liderazgo y protección en el gobierno central de Jerusalén.

Zech 12:6 RVG10 En aquel día pondré a los capitanes de Judá como un brasero de fuego entre la leña, y como una tea de fuego en gavillas; y consumirán a derecha y a izquierda a todos los pueblos alrededor; y Jerusalén será otra vez habitada en su lugar, en Jerusalén.

Pero, curiosamente, ¡parece que aquí el SEÑOR tiene otros planes para la tierra de Israel!

Él fortalecerá a los líderes de las zonas periféricas de Judá. Y ellos serán como un brasero encendido, como una antorcha llameante en medio de las gavillas.

¡Consumirán con fuego a los enemigos contra quienes luchen!

Zech 12:7 RVG10 Y librará Jehová las tiendas de Judá primero, para que la gloria de la casa de David y la gloria del morador de Jerusalén no se engrandezca sobre Judá.

Me parece una idea realmente interesante, en la que creo que pocos reparan.

El gobierno central en Jerusalén actúa, tal vez, con mano dura respecto al resto del país: Judá. ¡Y, al parecer, el Señor está de acuerdo!

¡Por eso se asegurará de salvar primero las zonas periféricas de Judá! De este modo, la gloria de David y el gobierno central no podrán engrandecerse por encima del resto del país.

¡Qué interés tan interesante muestra el Señor por las zonas periféricas en este momento tan peligroso de batalla por la propia existencia de Israel!

Zech 12:8 RVG10 En aquel día Jehová defenderá al morador de Jerusalén; y el que entre ellos fuere débil, en aquel tiempo será como David; y la casa de David será como Dios, como el Ángel de Jehová delante de ellos.

Zech 12:9 RVG10 Y será que en aquel día yo procuraré destruir a todas las naciones que vinieren contra Jerusalén.

Y creo que ahí es donde veremos al Señor mismo, de regreso en esta tierra (Zacarías 14:3-4).

Y Él entrará en la batalla contra las muchas naciones que han subido contra la tierra de Israel.

Zech 14:3 RVG10 Después saldrá Jehová y peleará contra aquellas naciones, como peleó el día de la batalla.

Zech 14:5 RVG10 Y huiréis al valle de los montes; porque el valle de los montes llegará hasta Azel; y huiréis de la manera que huisteis por causa del terremoto en los días de Uzías, rey de Judá: y vendrá Jehová mi Dios, y todos los santos con Él.

Creo que somos aquellos santos que regresan con el Señor.

Somos arrebatados para encontrarnos con el Señor en el aire; ¡y dice que estaremos con el Señor para siempre!

1Thess 4:17 RVG10 Luego nosotros los que vivimos, los que hayamos quedado, juntamente con ellos seremos arrebatados en las nubes para recibir al Señor en el aire, y así estaremos siempre con el Señor.

Así que debemos estar con el Señor cuando Él regrese a esta tierra para gobernarla.

Observemos la imagen de esto que vemos en Apocalipsis 19:11-15.

Rev 19:11 RVG10 Y vi el cielo abierto; y he aquí un caballo blanco, y el que estaba sentado sobre él, era llamado Fiel y Verdadero, y en justicia juzga y pelea.

Rev 19:12 RVG10 Y sus ojos eran como llama de fuego, y había en su cabeza muchas coronas; y tenía un nombre escrito que ninguno conocía sino Él mismo.

Rev 19:13 RVG10 Y estaba vestido de una ropa teñida en sangre; y su nombre es llamado EL VERBO DE DIOS.

Rev 19:14 RVG10 Y los ejércitos que están en el cielo le seguían en caballos blancos, vestidos de lino fino, blanco y limpio.

Rev 19:15 RVG10 Y de su boca sale una espada aguda, para herir con ella a las naciones; y Él las regirá con vara de hierro; y Él pisa el lagar del vino del furor y de la ira del Dios Todopoderoso.

¡Y la conmoción geográfica de esta tierra que vemos en Apocalipsis 16:16-20 encaja perfectamente con el increíble movimiento de los elementos de la tierra que observamos en Zacarías 14:4-5, cuando el Señor regrese y se pose sobre el Monte de los Olivos!

Rev 16:16 RVG10 Y los congregó en el lugar que en hebreo es llamado Armagedón.

Rev 16:17 RVG10 Y el séptimo ángel derramó su copa por el aire; y salió una gran voz del templo del cielo, del trono, diciendo: ¡Hecho está!

Rev 16:18 RVG10 Y hubo voces, y relámpagos y truenos; y hubo un gran temblor, un terremoto tan grande, cual no hubo jamás desde que los hombres han estado sobre la tierra.

Rev 16:19 RVG10 Y la gran ciudad fue partida en tres partes, y las ciudades de las naciones cayeron; y la gran Babilonia vino en memoria delante de Dios, para darle el cáliz del vino del furor de su ira.

Rev 16:20 RVG10 Y toda isla huyó, y los montes no fueron hallados.

Ahora volvamos a Zacarías 12 –

Zech 12:10 RVG10 Y derramaré sobre la casa de David, y sobre los moradores de Jerusalén, el espíritu de gracia y de oración; y mirarán a mí, a quien traspasaron, y harán llanto sobre Él, como llanto sobre unigénito, afligiéndose sobre Él como quien se aflige sobre primogénito.

Y aquí vemos que el pueblo en la tierra de Israel verá al Señor de regreso en esta tierra. ¡Y lo reconocerán por quien Él es! ¡Él es Jesucristo, aquel a quien traspasaron!

John 19:34 RVG10 Pero uno de los soldados le abrió el costado con una lanza, y al instante salió sangre y agua.

John 19:37 RVG10 Y también otra Escritura dice: Mirarán a Aquél a quien traspasaron.

Y lamentarán profundamente lo que se le hizo al Señor.

Zech 12:11 RVG10 En aquel día habrá gran llanto en Jerusalén, como el llanto de Hadadrimón en el valle de Meguido.

Zech 12:12 RVG10 Y la tierra lamentará, cada linaje de por sí; el linaje de la casa de David por sí, y sus esposas por sí; el linaje de la casa de Natán por sí, y sus esposas por sí;

Zech 12:13 RVG10 el linaje de la casa de Leví por sí, y sus esposas por sí; el linaje de Simeí por sí, y sus esposas por sí;

Zech 12:14 RVG10 todos los linajes que quedaren, cada linaje por sí, y sus esposas por sí.

Pero vemos en Zacarías 13:1-2 que hay un manantial de purificación para los pecados de Israel.

Zech 13:1 RVG10 En aquel tiempo habrá un manantial abierto para la casa de David y para los moradores de Jerusalén, para lavar el pecado y la inmundicia.

Zech 13:2 RVG10 Y será en aquel día, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, que borraré de la tierra los nombres de los ídolos, y nunca más serán recordados; y también quitaré de la tierra a los profetas y al espíritu inmundo.
