This Fourth of July we celebrate our Freedom as a Nation!
I believe very much in that Freedom that God has blessed us with!
Amen!
The idea of freedom is important in our Bible too!
Ps 33:12 WEBBE Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
Amen!
A Google AI Overview search 07-03-2026 noted that “the United States leads the world in the absolute number of Christians with over 200 million self-identified adherents”!
Amen!
This same search also noted that “The U.S. Constitution establishes a secular government with no official state religion, separating church and state.”
While some want to take that to mean that we don’t have religion, that isn’t true. Our Constitution actually protects us from having anther’s religious convictions forced on us. It leaves us the freedom to worship God as we believe!
This search also says that “Opinions on what defines a “Christian Nation” remain highly mixed, with about 45% of Americans supporting the formal integration of Christian values into U.S. laws and institutions.”
Gal 5:1 WEBBE Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
It is very important that we know Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord!
Salvation through Christ gets us eternal life and entry into heaven!
MStrongs indicates that that Stand firm means to be stationary, to perservere.
I like that.
So we need to Stand in that liberty that we have through Christ.
Persevere. Keep standing in it!
And that word liberty is Freedom!

2Cor 3:12 WEBBE Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,
2Cor 3:17 WEBBE Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
The Spirit leads us into freedom to approach God for help.
Heb 4:16 WEBBE Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
And this is true as we Christians lift our nation up in prayer for help with our many needs!
I think that our nation – and especially we Believers within it – has cried out to the Lord for help and victory many times in our history.
Ps 118:5 WEBBE Out of my distress, I called on the LORD. The LORD answered me with freedom.
Ps 118:6 WEBBE The LORD is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Ps 118:7 WEBBE The LORD is on my side amongst those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
And the Lord certainly has answered us and given us victory over our enemies within and without, and the wisdom to know what to do.
And we must remember that we have this freedom as Christians to serve the Lord and not to indulge in sin!
We must often seek Revival and a closer Relation with our Lord.
For our own benefit and for the good of our nation!
Gal 5:13 WEBBE For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
