He Won’t Snuff Out A Smoldering Wick!

Hi Friends! Here’s A Bible Thought For You.

This is a quote from Isaiah 42:1-3, 61:1 and 11:10.
I think it gives us a snapshot of what the coming Messiah – Jesus Christ – would be like.
Matt 12:17 ISV This was to fulfill what was declared by the prophet Isaiah when he said,
Matt 12:18 ISV “Here is my Servant whom I have chosen, whom I love, and with whom I am pleased! I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the gentiles.
He had God’s Spirit within Him. And He was concerned with Justice.
Even Justice – judgment – for the Gentiles! He would proclaim, declare it to them!
Paul said this to the Colossian Gentiles –
Col 1:13 ISV God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of the Son whom he loves,
Col 1:14 ISV through whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Justice, Forgiveness.
Redemption – Jesus has bought us from the captivity of sin.
Matt 12:19 ISV He will not quarrel or shout, and no one will hear him shouting in the streets.
He wasn’t going to quarrel – endless arguing – with us or shout in the streets.
Matt 12:20 ISV He will not snap off a broken reed or snuff out a smoldering wick until he has brought justice through to victory.
Matt 12:21 ISV And in his name the gentiles will hope.”
And I love this part. If we were damaged – and we’re ALL Damaged(!) He wouldn’t reach down and just break us off the stem!
If we were just smoldering, smoking.
We don’t really have much fire left.
Then Jesus wouldn’t reach down and just snuff out our wick.
Just put out the little bit of fire . . life that we have left.
Now isn’t that a beautiful thought Friends?
Instead he would bring that Justice leading to Salvation and from there on through to victory, triumph!
Amen for that loving care.
It’s the only hope we have Friends!
John 14:6 ISV Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

¡No Apagará Ni Una Mecha Humeante!

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.
Esta cita proviene de Isaías 42:1-3, 61:1 y 11:10.
Creo que nos da una idea de cómo sería el Mesías venidero: Jesucristo.
Matt 12:17 RVG10 Para que se cumpliese lo dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo:

No iba a discutir —argumentar sin parar— con nosotros ni a gritar en las calles.
Matt 12:20 RVG10 La caña cascada no quebrará, y el pábilo que humea no apagará, hasta que saque a victoria el juicio.
Matt 12:21 RVG10 Y en su nombre esperarán los gentiles.
Y me encanta esta parte. Si estuviéramos dañados —¡y todos lo estamos!—, Él no nos arrancaría de raíz.
Si apenas humeáramos, si ya no nos quedara mucha llama,
Jesús no apagaría nuestra mecha,
simplemente extinguiría el poco fuego… la poca vida que nos queda.
¿No es hermoso pensarlo, amigos?
En cambio, Él traería esa justicia que conduce a la salvación y, desde ahí, a la victoria, al triunfo.
Amén por ese amoroso cuidado.
¡Es nuestra única esperanza, amigos!
