Rider on a White Horse!

HI FRIENDS! HERE’S A PROPHECY THOUGHT FOR YOU.

I’ve been studying the Revelation a lot lately. It’s really interesting,
That first rider on the white horse is often called the antichrist.
I truly believe that we can see this prophecy connect with those in Daniel 7 and 11, and also with prophecies in Revelation.
Rev 6:1 ESV2011 Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!”
Rev 6:2 ESV2011 And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.
NOTICE That he is a king with a crown (a leader) and he has a weapon – a bow – but no arrow is mentioned in the bow. So he may appear as somewhat peaceful at the start of his time. But it seems that he quickly starts fighting and conquering territories!
That all connects well with what we see about him in Daniel 7:23-25.
These ten horns will be countries in this area of the Middle East in the future.
And another horn will rise up among them. And we see that this other horn (he is surely the antichrist) will conquer three of those original ten horns!
Dan 7:23 ESV2011 “Thus he said: ‘As for the fourth beast, there shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all the kingdoms, and it shall devour the whole earth, and trample it down, and break it to pieces.
Dan 7:24 ESV2011 As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them; he shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down three kings.
Dan 7:25 ESV2011 He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
And he will gain control of the land of Israel!
And he will have control “for a time, times, and half a time” Daniel 7:25 ESV2011.
That time is 1+2+1/2 = 3 1.2 years.
Notice that in Daniel 11:21-22 we see this contemptible future leader come in with flatteries = talking smoothly. He’s a good politician!
But that seems to change quickly as he sweeps the area breaking the power of armies! He’s in Conquering Mode now!
Dan 11:21 ESV2011 In his place shall arise a contemptible person to whom royal majesty has not been given. He shall come in without warning and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
Dan 11:22 ESV2011 Armies shall be utterly swept away before him and broken, even the prince of the covenant.
CBN on verse 20 says “a vile person. One of the twelve titles given to the antichrist. See note on Dan 7:8. The prophecy concerning him is continuous to the end of the chapter. It is parallel with Dan 7:8, &c.; Dan 8:9, &c.; and Dan 9:26, Dan 9:27. He is not another successional king of the north, but a totally different and unique personage, still future.”
UNDERSTAND THAT the next ancient Greek leader here in Daniel 11:21 was Antiochus IV Epiphanes.
He was a forerunner of the still future ruler (we often call him the antichrist) that will come during the Great Tribulation.
And this future leader – the antichrist – will spring up from the territory and heritage of that ancient Seleucid Greek Kingdom based in the Middle East.
NOT in Europe or Rome. We can see that because he is presented here in Daniel 11:21-45 as a part of the outgrowth of that area.
NOTE – Here are a few Important Differences – that we should know – between Antiochus Epiphanes and this still future antichrist.
Antiochus Epiphanes was a devotee of the Greek god Zeus. He placed a statue of Zeus in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.
But the antichrist will “exalt himself and magnify himself above every god” Daniel 11:36 ESV2011! We also see that he “shall honor the god of fortresses” Daniel 11:38 ESV2011.
And Antiochus Epiphanes died of a sudden illness in 164 BC in Persia, far from the land of Israel!
But the antichrist will make a war camp “between the sea and the glorious holy mountain” which is the mountain where Jerusalem is located. And we see that “he shall come to his end” there in the land of Israel (Daniel 11:45 ESV2011)!
Further the time of Antiochus Epiphanes control over Jerusalem, the Temple, and the sacrifices was three years as I understand it.
Google AI Overview (05-16-26) tells us that “Antiochus IV Epiphanes defiled the Second Temple in Jerusalem for approximately three years, with the desecration beginning around December 167 BC and ending with the purification and rededication by Judas Maccabeus in December 165/164 BC..
But we see in Daniel 7:25 (ESV2011) that the antichrist will rule over “the saints of the Most High (NOTE-these saints are God’s people of Israel) for a time, times, and half a time”. That time is 1+2+1/2 = 3 ½ years.
Dan 11:29 ESV2011 “At the time appointed he shall return and come into the south, but it shall not be this time as it was before.
Dan 11:30 ESV2011 For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and pay attention to those who forsake the holy covenant.
Dan 11:31 ESV2011 Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.
Dan 11:32 ESV2011 He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.
Here we see that this future ruler will get control of the Temple and stop the sacrifices. And he is going to cause am abomination of desolation in the Temple!
NOTE – But some of the Jewish people will begin a resistance of this evil ruler’s efforts!
Dan 11:36 ESV2011 “And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.
He is going to declare himself as god above all other gods!
Such arrogance!
We saw a hint of this in Daniel 7:25 above with him speaking against the Most High God!
Dan 11:37 ESV2011 He shall pay no attention to the gods of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women. He shall not pay attention to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all.
Dan 11:38 ESV2011 He shall honor the god of fortresses instead of these. A god whom his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.
Dan 11:39 ESV2011 He shall deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. Those who acknowledge him he shall load with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price.
And strangely this future ruler (antichrist) will honor some god of fortresses!?
Does he do this secretly since he has publicly (Daniel 11:36 above) exalted himself as above all gods?
Dan 11:40 ESV2011 “At the time of the end, the king of the south shall attack him, but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through.
Dan 11:41 ESV2011 He shall come into the glorious land. And tens of thousands shall fall, but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the main part of the Ammonites.
Dan 11:42 ESV2011 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
This antichrist is the king of the North. Egypt – the king of the South – will attack him but he will defeat them!
NOTE that this is at the time of the end (Daniel 11:40 above) of the 7 years of Great Tribulation. And antichrist is only know getting control of Egypt – right next to him!
ALSO – Daniel 11:41 above shows that this future ruler still won’t get control of the areas of Edom, Moab and Ammon. That area is modern Jordan.
So we see that the antichrist will influence the world greatly. But he will not get control physically of the entire world. This is an important point to understand.
Dan 11:43 ESV2011 He shall become ruler of the treasures of gold and of silver, and all the precious things of Egypt, and the Libyans and the Cushites shall follow in his train.
Dan 11:44 ESV2011 But news from the east and the north shall alarm him, and he shall go out with great fury to destroy and devote many to destruction.
Dan 11:45 ESV2011 And he shall pitch his palatial tents between the sea and the glorious holy mountain. Yet he shall come to his end, with none to help him.
But Daniel 11:45 shows us that the power of this future ruler – the antichrist – will come to an end!
CBN says “come to his end. This could not be said of Antiochus, for he died at Tabae, in Persia. “The wilful king” comes to his end in Judea, between Jerusalem and the Mediterranean Sea.”
And we see that take place in Revelation 19 as Jesus has returned to rule this earth.
Rev 19:20 ESV2011 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
I truly believe that this beast ruler is that same other horn in Daniel 7:24-25 and contemptible person Daniel 11:21 that we saw above. He is the antichrist whom we see John reference as coming in 1 John 2:18.
1John 2:18 ESV2011 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.
And Paul refers to him as the man of sin and the son of destruction in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4. And Paul also specifically notes that this man of sin will exalt himself as above all gods and will sit in the temple of God!
That connects perfectly with what we have seen above in Daniel 11:36.
2Thess 2:3 WEB Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the departure comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction,
2Thess 2:4 WEB he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.
I think that was a fascinating look at this antichrist who is coming.

HOLA AMIGOS! AQUÍ HAY UNA PROFECÍA PENSADA PARA TI.
Últimamente he estado estudiando mucho el Apocalipsis. Es realmente interesante.
A ese primer jinete del caballo blanco se le suele llamar el Anticristo.
Creo sinceramente que podemos ver cómo esta profecía se conecta con las de Daniel 7 y 11, y también con las profecías del Apocalipsis.
Rev 6:1 RVG10 Y vi cuando el Cordero abrió uno de los sellos, y oí a uno de los cuatro seres vivientes, como con voz de trueno, diciendo: Ven y mira.
Rev 6:2 RVG10 Y miré, y he aquí un caballo blanco; y el que estaba sentado sobre él tenía un arco; y le fue dada una corona, y salió venciendo, y para vencer.
OBSERVE que él es un rey con una corona (un líder) y posee un arma —un arco—, pero no se menciona ninguna flecha en él. Por lo tanto, podría parecer algo pacífico al comienzo de su tiempo. ¡Pero parece que rápidamente empieza a luchar y a conquistar territorios!
Todo esto concuerda bien con lo que vemos acerca de él en Daniel 7:23-25.
Estos diez cuernos serán países ubicados en esta región de Oriente Medio en el futuro.
Y otro cuerno surgirá entre ellos. ¡Y vemos que este otro cuerno (que es, sin duda, el Anticristo) conquistará a tres de esos diez cuernos originales!

Y ejercerá el control «por un tiempo, tiempos y medio tiempo» (Daniel 7:25).
Ese tiempo equivale a 1 + 2 + 1/2 = 3 años y medio.
Observe que, en Daniel 11:21-22, vemos a este despreciable líder futuro entrar valiéndose de lisonjas, es decir, hablando con gran suavidad. ¡Es un buen político!
Pero esto parece cambiar rápidamente, a medida que arrasa la región, ¡quebrando el poder de los ejércitos! ¡Ahora ha entrado en «modo de conquista»!
Dan 11:21 RVG10 Y en su lugar se levantará un hombre vil, al cual no darán la honra del reino; pero vendrá con paz, y tomará el reino con halagos.
Dan 11:22 RVG10 Y con los brazos de inundación serán inundados delante de él, y serán quebrantados; y aun también el príncipe del pacto.
CBN, con respecto al versículo 20, afirma: «una persona vil. Uno de los doce títulos otorgados al Anticristo. Véase la nota sobre Dan 7:8. La profecía concerniente a él continúa hasta el final del capítulo. Es paralela a Dan 7:8, etc.; Dan 8:9, etc.; y Dan 9:26, Dan 9:27. No se trata de otro rey del norte sucesivo, sino de un personaje totalmente diferente y único, que es aún futuro».
Comprenda que el siguiente líder griego antiguo, mencionado aquí en Daniel 11:21, fue Antíoco IV Epífanes.

Sin embargo, el Anticristo establecerá su campamento de guerra «entre el mar y el monte glorioso y santo», que es el monte donde se encuentra Jerusalén. Y vemos que «llegará a su fin» allí, en la tierra de Israel (Daniel 11:45).
Por otra parte, el tiempo que duró el dominio de Antíoco Epífanes sobre Jerusalén, el Templo y los sacrificios fue de tres años, según tengo entendido.

Pero vemos en Daniel 7:25 que el Anticristo ejercerá dominio sobre «los santos del Altísimo» (NOTA: estos santos son el pueblo de Dios, Israel) «por un tiempo, tiempos y medio tiempo». Ese periodo equivale a 1 + 2 + 1/2 = 3 años y medio.
Dan 11:29 RVG10 Al tiempo señalado volverá, y vendrá hacia el sur; mas no será la postrera venida como la primera.
Dan 11:30 RVG10 Porque vendrán contra él naves de Quitim, y él se contristará, y volverá, y se enojará contra el pacto santo, y actuará contra éste; volverá, pues, y se entenderá con los que abandonan el santo pacto.
Dan 11:31 RVG10 Y se levantarán brazos de su parte; y contaminarán el santuario de fortaleza, y quitarán el continuo sacrificio, y pondrán la abominación desoladora.
Dan 11:32 RVG10 Y con lisonjas hará pecar a los violadores del pacto; mas el pueblo que conoce a su Dios, se esforzará y hará proezas.
Aquí vemos que este futuro gobernante tomará el control del Templo y detendrá los sacrificios. ¡Y provocará una abominación desoladora en el Templo!
NOTA: ¡Pero algunos miembros del pueblo judío iniciarán una resistencia contra los esfuerzos de este malvado gobernante!
Dan 11:36 RVG10 Y el rey hará a su voluntad; y se enaltecerá y se engrandecerá sobre todo dios; y contra el Dios de los dioses hablará maravillas, y prosperará, hasta que sea consumada la ira; porque lo que está determinado se cumplirá.
¡Él se declarará a sí mismo como Dios por encima de todos los demás dioses!
¡Qué arrogancia!
¡Vimos un indicio de esto en Daniel 7:25, citado anteriormente, cuando habló contra el Dios Altísimo!

Y, curiosamente, ¿este futuro gobernante (el anticristo) honrará a algún dios de las fortalezas?
¿Lo hace en secreto, puesto que públicamente (Daniel 11:36) se ha exaltado por encima de todos los dioses?
Dan 11:40 RVG10 Pero al cabo del tiempo el rey del sur se enfrentará con él; y el rey del norte se levantará contra él como una tempestad, con carros y gente de a caballo, y muchos navíos; y entrará por las tierras, e inundará, y pasará.

Este Anticristo es el Rey del Norte. Egipto —el Rey del Sur— lo atacará, ¡pero él los derrotará!
Nótese que esto ocurre en el tiempo del fin (Daniel 11:40, citado arriba), al término de los siete años de la Gran Tribulación. Y es precisamente entonces cuando el Anticristo logra tomar el control de Egipto, ¡territorio que se encuentra justo a su lado!
Asimismo, Daniel 11:41 (citado arriba) indica que este futuro gobernante no logrará tomar el control de las regiones de Edom, Moab y Amón. Dicha zona corresponde a la actual Jordania.
Por consiguiente, observamos que el Anticristo ejercerá una enorme influencia sobre el mundo; sin embargo, no llegará a tomar el control físico de la totalidad del planeta. Este es un punto fundamental que conviene comprender.
Dan 11:43 RVG10 Y se apoderará de los tesoros de oro y plata, y de todas las cosas preciosas de Egipto. Libios y etíopes seguirán sus pasos.
Dan 11:44 RVG10 Pero noticias del oriente y del norte lo estremecerán; y saldrá con grande ira para destruir y matar a muchos.

Pero Daniel 11:45 nos muestra que el poder de este gobernante futuro —el Anticristo— llegará a su fin.
CBN afirma: «Llegará a su fin». Esto no podría decirse de Antíoco, pues él murió en Tabae, en Persia. «El rey obstinado» llega a su fin en Judea, entre Jerusalén y el mar Mediterráneo.
Y vemos que esto sucede en Apocalipsis 19, cuando Jesús ha regresado para gobernar esta tierra.
Rev 19:20 RVG10 Y la bestia fue apresada, y con ella el falso profeta que había hecho los milagros delante de ella, con los cuales había engañado a los que recibieron la marca de la bestia, y habían adorado su imagen. Estos dos fueron lanzados vivos dentro de un lago de fuego ardiendo con azufre.
Creo sinceramente que este gobernante bestial es ese mismo «otro cuerno» de Daniel 7:24-25 y la «persona despreciable» de Daniel 11:21 que vimos anteriormente. Él es el Anticristo a quien vemos mencionado por Juan como aquel que ha de venir, en 1 Juan 2:18.
1John 2:18 RVG10 Hijitos, ya es el último tiempo; y como vosotros habéis oído que el anticristo ha de venir, así también al presente hay muchos anticristos; por lo cual sabemos que es el último tiempo.
Y Pablo se refiere a él como el hombre de pecado y el hijo de destrucción en 2 Tesalonicenses 2:3-4. ¡Y Pablo también señala específicamente que este hombre de pecado se exaltará por encima de todos los dioses y se sentará en el templo de Dios!
Eso conecta perfectamente con lo que hemos visto anteriormente en Daniel 11:36.
2Thess 2:3 RVG10 Nadie os engañe en ninguna manera; porque no vendrá sin que antes venga la apostasía, y sea revelado el hombre de pecado, el hijo de perdición,
2Thess 2:4 RVG10 el cual se opone y se exalta contra todo lo que se llama Dios o es adorado; tanto que como Dios se sienta en el templo de Dios, haciéndose pasar por Dios.
Creo que fue una visión fascinante de este Anticristo que está por venir.
