Mother’s Day

In Proverbs 31 we see a beautiful illustration of a Godly woman – a wife and a mother – who takes excellent care of her children and her husband! And they honor her for this.
Prov 31:20 ESV2011 She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.
She not only helps her family. She also notes those in need and reaches out to help them. This was commanded under the law. And is also needed to day in our times of grace!
Deut 15:11 ESV2011 For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’
Rom 12:13 ESV2011 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Prov 31:21 ESV2011 She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet.
Prov 31:22 ESV2011 She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple.
She looks to the times and seasons and prepares her household well.
She is not afraid for her children. She clothes them well!
And they will sleep warm at night! She dresses herself in beauty.
Prov 31:23 ESV2011 Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land.
Her husband is a community leader! Well known and widely respected!
Prov 31:24 ESV2011 She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant.
Prov 31:25 ESV2011 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.
She is industrious and helps with the family budget!
She makes quality shirts of good material and good belts!
She sell’s those to the merchants!
This mother and wife is strong! And she has class!
Her family is well prepared and she knows it.
She has confidence and a delightful sense of humor!
Prov 31:26 ESV2011 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She doesn’t brow beat her children. She speaks with wisdom!
She helps her children to understand the way to go.
She isn’t harsh in her teaching. She is kind.
There is love for her children in her words.
Prov 31:27 ESV2011 She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Prov 31:28 ESV2011 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
She looks after her family well.
She is always looking carefully to matters of her children and husband!
She surely isn’t lazy! Her concern is her family!
And her children and husband love her! They adore her!
They know that she is blessed by God.
And they are also blessed by God through her attentiveness to their lives and well being!
Her husband praises her for the tender loving care for their children and for him!
Prov 31:29 ESV2011 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
Prov 31:30 ESV2011 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Many mothers and wives have done so very well for their families.
But You have simply soared above them all!
Graciousness and Beauty aren’t the only things.
Respect and reverence for the Lord. And concern to raise Your family for Him is to be Praised! She will be Praised!
Let’s Thank God for our Mothers!
And for our Wives the Mothers of our children!

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.
En Proverbios 31 vemos una hermosa ilustración de una mujer piadosa —esposa y madre— que cuida excelentemente de sus hijos y de su esposo. Y ellos la honran por ello.
Prov 31:20 RVG10 Extiende su mano al pobre, y tiende su mano al menesteroso.
Ella no solo ayuda a su familia; también repara en aquellos que están necesitados y extiende la mano para ayudarlos. Esto fue ordenado bajo la Ley, ¡y también es necesario hoy, en nuestros tiempos de gracia!
Deut 15:11 RVG10 Porque no faltarán menesterosos de en medio de la tierra; por eso yo te mando, diciendo: Abrirás tu mano a tu hermano, a tu pobre, y a tu menesteroso en tu tierra.

Su familia está bien preparada, y ella lo sabe.
¡Tiene confianza en sí misma y un sentido del humor encantador!
Prov 31:26 RVG10 Abre su boca con sabiduría; y la ley de misericordia está en su lengua.
Ella no intimida a sus hijos; ¡habla con sabiduría!
Ayuda a sus hijos a comprender el camino que deben seguir.
No es dura en su enseñanza; es bondadosa.
En sus palabras hay amor por sus hijos.
Prov 31:27 RVG10 Considera los caminos de su casa, y no come el pan de balde.
Prov 31:28 RVG10 Se levantan sus hijos, y la llaman bienaventurada; y su marido también la alaba.
Ella cuida muy bien de su familia.
¡Siempre está atenta y pendiente de los asuntos de sus hijos y de su esposo!
¡Ciertamente no es perezosa! ¡Su prioridad es su familia!
¡Y sus hijos y su esposo la aman! ¡La adoran!
Saben que ella ha sido bendecida por Dios.
¡Y ellos también son bendecidos por Dios gracias a la atención que ella dedica a sus vidas y a su bienestar!
¡Su esposo la elogia por el tierno y amoroso cuidado que brinda a sus hijos y a él mismo!
Prov 31:29 RVG10 Muchas mujeres han sido virtuosas; pero tú las sobrepasas a todas.
Prov 31:30 RVG10 Engañosa es la gracia, y vana la hermosura: La mujer que teme a Jehová, ésa será alabada.
Muchas madres y esposas han hecho una labor excelente por sus familias.
¡Pero tú, sencillamente, te has elevado por encima de todas ellas!
La gracia y la belleza no lo son todo.
¡El respeto y la reverencia hacia el Señor —así como el empeño en criar a tu familia para Él— son dignos de alabanza! ¡Ella será alabada!
¡Demos gracias a Dios por nuestras madres!
¡Y por nuestras esposas, las madres de nuestros hijos!
