I was reading a really interesting article from Cedars Sinai titled “Will Artificial Intelligence Replace Human Scientists?” Dated April 16, 2026 By Cedars-Sinai Newsroom. Downloaded 05-02-26 at –

The article referred to a new type of AI called “agentic” AI. They explained that this type of AI replicates a team of specialists by coordinating a team of Ai solutions working on specific tasks.
The Cedars-Sinai Newsroom asked “Jason Moore, PhD, chair of the Department of Computational Biomedicine at Cedars-Sinai” the question – “How does agentic AI help biomedical scientists?” Moore said “It has allowed researchers in my lab to complete complex software-engineering and computer-programming projects in days rather than months, and we’re seeing mind-boggling levels of productivity and efficiency.” He noted that this comes at a useful time when “the healthcare industry faces rising costs and reduced reimbursements”.
When asked if agentic AI will replace human scientists Moore responded – “I don’t yet have confidence that AI can fully replace anybody in my research lab—and maybe it never will.” He noted that AI is not as good at some things such as – “managing people, displaying emotional empathy, and coming up with new hypotheses and creative solutions to problems.”
In another article in LIVESCIENCE titled “AI may accelerate scientific progress — but here’s why it can’t replace human scientists” by Alessandra Buccella, dated January 27, 2026, (Downloaded 05-02-26) notes that President Trump signed an Executive Order November 24, 2025 announced the Genesis Mission to establish a series of AI Agents “to test new hypotheses, automate research workflows, and accelerate scientific breakthroughs.” However, the article notes that the results thus far are mixed, saying that “AI systems can process vast datasets and detect subtle correlations that humans are unable to detect. On the other hand, their lack of commonsense reasoning can result in unrealistic or irrelevant experimental recommendations.”
Alessandra Buccella is a Philosopher studying the History and Conceptual Foundations of Science. She notes “AI models do not learn directly from the real world: They have to be “told” what the world is like by their human designers. Without human scientists overseeing the construction of the digital “world” in which the model operates — that is, the datasets used for training and testing its algorithms — the breakthroughs that AI facilitates wouldn’t be possible.”
OK! So are there some real limits to what AI can accomplish?

The article noted that “is already beyond the point of a physical failsafe or “kill switch” — the idea that it can simply be unplugged as a way to stop it from having any power”. Geofrey Hinton, the Godfather of AI, noted that “The power that will matter more . . is the power of persuasion.”
But Hinton also believes that AI itself, will become “increasingly skilled” at using persuasion!
He said that ““We have to face the fact that AI will get smarter than us,” he said. “Our only hope is to make them not want to harm us. If they want to do us in, we are done for. We have to make them benevolent, that is what we have to focus on,” he added.”
Hmmm I don’t know if that sounds very encouraging . .
QUESTION – So what should we Christians think about Artificial Intelligence?
Well, Paul makes a point in several of his epistles about things that are controversial to some in the Church. He is talking at that time more about food and drink. But I think the Basic Principles are true for others things as well.
Rom 14:14 AKJV/PCE I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
We humans are creating the AI systems using the intelligence that God has given us, and the elements of this world. And God made us and this universe and called it all good!
Gen 1:31 AKJV/PCE And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

They make the point that robots are stronger and computers sort data quicker and more accurately. But we humans have made those tools to help us.
Got Questions article notes that “Computers occasionally appear intelligent, but their actual mechanism is performing extremely low-level thinking extremely quickly in extremely long chains. They aren’t truly “smart” but complete certain tasks in less time than people.”
QUESTION – But can AI actually think for itself?
Searching Google I got a very informative overview –

BUT It seems to me that our Bible gives a perspective on the End Times indicating that it will be man (think about the antichrist) who will try to elevate himself above God!
I believe that we see this prophesied in Daniel 11:36 and 1 Thessalonians 2:3-4 –
Dan 11:36 AKJV/PCE And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
2Thess 2:3 WEB Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the departure comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction,
2Thess 2:4 WEB he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.
He actually physically sits down in the Temple in Jerusalem declaring himself to be god!
So ultimately it seems to me that it is man who will largely ignore God, and try to become more than he is! And God will judge mankind during the Tribulation for this.

Estaba leyendo un artículo realmente interesante de Cedars-Sinai titulado «¿Will Artificial Intelligence Replace Human Scientists?». Con fecha del 16 de abril de 2026, por la Sala de Prensa de Cedars-Sinai. Descargado el 02/05/26 en:

El artículo hacía referencia a un nuevo tipo de IA denominada IA «agéntica». Explicaba que este tipo de IA emula a un equipo de especialistas mediante la coordinación de un conjunto de soluciones de IA que trabajan en tareas específicas.
La Sala de Prensa de Cedars-Sinai planteó la siguiente pregunta a Jason Moore, PhD —presidente del Departamento de Biomedicina Computacional de Cedars-Sinai—: «¿Cómo ayuda la IA agéntica a los científicos biomédicos?». En otro artículo publicado en LIVESCIENCE, titulado «AI may accelerate scientific progress — but here’s why it can’t replace human scientists» —escrito por Alessandra Buccella y con fecha del 27 de enero de 2026 (descargado el 05-02-26)—, se señala que el presidente Trump firmó una Orden Ejecutiva el 24 de noviembre de 2025, en la que anunció la «Misión Génesis» con el fin de establecer una serie de agentes de IA «para poner a prueba nuevas hipótesis, automatizar los flujos de trabajo de investigación y acelerar los avances científicos». Sin embargo, el artículo observa que los resultados obtenidos hasta la fecha son dispares, afirmando que «los sistemas de IA pueden procesar vastos conjuntos de datos y detectar correlaciones sutiles que los seres humanos son incapaces de percibir. Por otro lado, su falta de razonamiento de sentido común puede derivar en recomendaciones experimentales poco realistas o irrelevantes».
Alessandra Buccella es una filósofa dedicada al estudio de la historia y los fundamentos conceptuales de la ciencia. Ella señala: «Los modelos de IA no aprenden directamente del mundo real; sus diseñadores humanos deben “decirles” cómo es el mundo. Sin la supervisión de científicos humanos en la construcción del “mundo” digital en el que opera el modelo —es decir, los conjuntos de datos utilizados para el entrenamiento y la validación de sus algoritmos—, los avances que la IA facilita no serían posibles».
¡Muy bien! Entonces, ¿existen realmente ciertos límites a lo que la IA puede lograr?
Leí otro artículo interesante y preocupante en CNBC.com (consultado el 26/02/05) titulado «If AI attempts to take over world, don’t count on a ‘kill switch’ to save humanity», escrito por Kevin Williams y publicado el jueves 24 de julio de 2025 a las 11:05 a. m. EDT (actualizado el mismo día a las 12:18 p. m. EDT) en https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/24/in-ai-attempt-to-take-over-world-theres-no-kill-switch-to-save-us.html
El artículo señalaba que la IA «ya ha superado el punto en el que sería efectiva una medida de seguridad física o un “interruptor de emergencia” —es decir, la idea de que simplemente se la pueda desenchufar como forma de impedir que ejerza cualquier tipo de poder—». Geoffrey Hinton, el «padrino» de la IA, comentó que «el poder que realmente importará… será el poder de la persuasión».
¡Pero Hinton también cree que la propia IA se volverá «cada vez más experta» en el uso de la persuasión!
Al respecto, afirmó: «Tenemos que afrontar el hecho de que la IA llegará a ser más inteligente que nosotros. Nuestra única esperanza reside en lograr que no deseen hacernos daño. Si deciden acabar con nosotros, estaremos perdidos. Debemos conseguir que sean benevolentes; en eso es en lo que tenemos que centrarnos», añadió.
Mmm… No sé si eso suena muy alentador que digamos…
PREGUNTA: Entonces, ¿qué deberíamos pensar nosotros, los cristianos, acerca de la inteligencia artificial?
Pues bien, Pablo plantea un punto en varias de sus epístolas respecto a cuestiones que resultan controvertidas para algunos dentro de la Iglesia. En aquel entonces, él se refería más bien a los alimentos y las bebidas; sin embargo, creo que los principios fundamentales son aplicables también a otros asuntos.

Nosotros, los seres humanos, estamos creando los sistemas de IA utilizando la inteligencia que Dios nos ha dado y los elementos de este mundo. ¡Y Dios nos hizo a nosotros y a este universo, y llamó a todo ello bueno!

Argumentan que los robots son más fuertes y que las computadoras clasifican los datos con mayor rapidez y precisión. Sin embargo, somos los seres humanos quienes hemos creado esas herramientas para que nos asistan.
Un artículo de *Got Questions* señala que: «Las computadoras a veces parecen inteligentes, pero su mecanismo real consiste en realizar un pensamiento de nivel extremadamente bajo, a una velocidad vertiginosa y en cadenas sumamente extensas. No son verdaderamente “inteligentes”, sino que completan ciertas tareas en menos tiempo que las personas».
PREGUNTA: Pero, ¿puede la IA pensar realmente por sí misma?
Al buscar en Google, obtuve una visión general muy informativa:

PERO me parece que nuestra Biblia ofrece una perspectiva sobre los Últimos Tiempos, indicando que será el hombre —piensen en el Anticristo— quien intentará elevarse por encima de Dios.
Creo que vemos esto profetizado en Daniel 11:36 y en 1 Tesalonicenses 2:3-4.
Dan 11:36 RVG10 Y el rey hará a su voluntad; y se enaltecerá y se engrandecerá sobre todo dios; y contra el Dios de los dioses hablará maravillas, y prosperará, hasta que sea consumada la ira; porque lo que está determinado se cumplirá.
2Thess 2:3 RVG10 Nadie os engañe en ninguna manera; porque no vendrá sin que antes venga la apostasía, y sea revelado el hombre de pecado, el hijo de perdición,
2Thess 2:4 RVG10 el cual se opone y se exalta contra todo lo que se llama Dios o es adorado; tanto que como Dios se sienta en el templo de Dios, haciéndose pasar por Dios.
¡Él, de hecho, se sienta físicamente en el Templo de Jerusalén, declarándose a sí mismo como Dios!
Así que, en última instancia, me parece que es el hombre quien ignorará en gran medida a Dios e intentará convertirse en algo más de lo que es. Y Dios juzgará a la humanidad durante la Tribulación por ello.
