Hints of Our Faith To Come!

Recently reading about Joshua leading Israel into the Promised Land I was fascinated to notice some Hints of our Future Christian Faith.
Israel entered into the physical land of Canaan. We Christians enter by Faith into Salvation and Rest in Christ.
Josh 3:17 WEB The priests who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan; and all Israel passed over on dry ground, until all the nation had passed completely over the Jordan.
Heb 4:1 WEB Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
The generation that went into Canaan had to be circumcised before they entered. We Believers have to be circumcised spiritually through our Faith in Christ.
Josh 5:7 WEB Their children, whom he raised up in their place, were circumcised by Joshua; for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them on the way.
Col 2:11 WEB in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
The Lord rolled away the shame of the people of Israel. And we who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior won’t be ashamed!
Josh 5:9 WEB Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you.” Therefore the name of that place was called Gilgal, to this day.
Rom 10:9 AKJV/PCE That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 AKJV/PCE For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11 AKJV/PCE For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
The people of Israel kept the Passover remembering the Lord bringing them out of slavery in Egypt. And Christ our Passover has been sacrificed to free us from our sins!
Josh 5:10 WEB The children of Israel encamped in Gilgal. They kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho.
1Cor 5:7 WEB Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.
Israel defeated Jericho through worship of the Lord. And we Christians must worship the Father in Spirit and Truth!
Josh 6:16 WEB It happened at the seventh time, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for Yahweh has given you the city!
Phil 3:3 WEB For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;
The Lord gave Israel the land of Canaan to possess and live in. The Lord gives us inheritance in His family. And He is preparing places for each one of us!
Josh 21:43 WEB So Yahweh gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers. They possessed it, and lived in it.
Josh 21:44 WEB Yahweh gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Yahweh delivered all their enemies into their hand.
Titus 3:7 WEB that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
John 14:2 WEB In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3 WEB If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.

¡Indicios de nuestra fe venidera!

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.
Leyendo recientemente sobre cómo Josué condujo a Israel hacia la Tierra Prometida, me fascinó notar algunos indicios de nuestra futura fe cristiana.
Israel entró en la tierra física de Canaán. Nosotros, los cristianos, entramos por la fe en la salvación y el descanso en Cristo.
Josh 3:17 RVG10 Mas los sacerdotes que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, estuvieron en seco, firmes en medio del Jordán, hasta que todo el pueblo hubo acabado de pasar el Jordán; y todo Israel pasó en seco.
Heb 4:1 RVG10 Temamos, pues, que quedando aún la promesa de entrar en su reposo, alguno de vosotros parezca no haberlo alcanzado.
La generación que entró en Canaán tuvo que ser circuncidada antes de entrar. Nosotros, los creyentes, tenemos que ser circuncidados espiritualmente mediante nuestra fe en Cristo.
Josh 5:7 RVG10 Y a los hijos de ellos, que Él había levantado en su lugar, Josué los circuncidó; pues eran incircuncisos, porque no habían sido circuncidados por el camino.
Col 2:11 RVG10 En quien también sois circuncidados de circuncisión no hecha de mano, en el despojamiento del cuerpo del pecado de la carne, en la circuncisión de Cristo.
El Señor quitó la vergüenza del pueblo de Israel. ¡Y nosotros, que aceptamos a Jesús como Señor y Salvador, no seremos avergonzados!
Josh 5:9 RVG10 Y Jehová dijo a Josué: Hoy he quitado de vosotros el oprobio de Egipto; por lo cual el nombre de aquel lugar fue llamado Gilgal, hasta hoy.
Rom 10:9 RVG10 Que si confesares con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creyeres en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, serás salvo.
Rom 10:10 RVG10 Porque con el corazón se cree para justicia, mas con la boca se hace confesión para salvación.
Rom 10:11 RVG10 Porque la Escritura dice: Todo aquel que en Él creyere, no será avergonzado.
El pueblo de Israel celebró la Pascua, recordando que el Señor los sacó de la esclavitud en Egipto. ¡Y Cristo, nuestra Pascua, ha sido sacrificado para librarnos de nuestros pecados!
Josh 5:10 RVG10 Y los hijos de Israel acamparon en Gilgal, y celebraron la pascua a los catorce días del mes, por la tarde, en los llanos de Jericó.
1Cor 5:7 RVG10 Limpiaos, pues, de la vieja levadura, para que seáis nueva masa, como sois sin levadura; porque Cristo, nuestra pascua, ya fue sacrificado por nosotros.
Israel derrotó a Jericó mediante la adoración al Señor. ¡Y nosotros, los cristianos, debemos adorar al Padre en Espíritu y en Verdad!
Josh 6:16 RVG10 Y aconteció que, a la séptima vez, cuando los sacerdotes tocaron las trompetas, Josué dijo al pueblo: ¡Gritad! Porque Jehová os ha entregado la ciudad.
Phil 3:3 RVG10 Porque nosotros somos la circuncisión, los que en espíritu adoramos a Dios y nos gloriamos en Cristo Jesús, no teniendo confianza en la carne.
El Señor dio a Israel la tierra de Canaán para que la poseyera y habitara en ella. El Señor nos da una herencia en su familia. ¡Y Él está preparando lugares para cada uno de nosotros!
Josh 21:43 RVG10 Así dio Jehová a Israel toda la tierra que había jurado dar a sus padres; y la poseyeron, y habitaron en ella.
Josh 21:44 RVG10 Y Jehová les dio reposo alrededor, conforme a todo lo que había jurado a sus padres: y ninguno de todos los enemigos les paró delante, sino que Jehová entregó en sus manos a todos sus enemigos.
Titus 3:7 RVG10 para que justificados por su gracia, viniésemos a ser herederos conforme a la esperanza de la vida eterna.
