That hour of trail on the whole earth is the seven years of Tribulation that is coming. And THINK – Seven is God’s number of completion of a work. So with those seven churches we see God completing His work in the Church Age proper!

Then in Revelation 4 look what John see’s next –

Rev 4:1 ESV2011 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

Rev 4:2 ESV2011 At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.

That first voice that John heard like a trumpet was Jesus –

This is the catching away of the Church. Paul describes it in 1 Thessalonians 4 –

Then in Revelation 6 we see someone ride out on the world scene who seems kind of like a Messiah figure.

White horse . . bow but no arrows . . so he’s trying to look peaceful . . but real quickly he starts conquering!

Daniel see’s this figure well into those seven years of Tribulation.

He will conquer the land of Israel for a time! And he will profane the temple!

Dan 11:31 ESV2011 Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

Dan 11:36 ESV2011 “And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.

Paul also saw this vile ruler –
