Forgive Us Our Sins!

Hi Friends! Here’s A Bible Thought For You.

Jesus gave this example of prayer for us –
Luke 11:1 WEB It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.”
Luke 11:2 WEB He said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Luke 11:3 WEB Give us day by day our daily bread.
Luke 11:4 WEB Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”
And notice here that in this prayer Jesus makes provision for us to ask for forgiveness of our sins.
No Perfection There!
We’re not perfected in this life yet!
But we sure do need to aim for that target of perfection every day.
If we don’t even try then we have no hope of doing any better!
I love the way Paul describes it in Philippians 3 –
Phil 3:10 WEB that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;
Phil 3:11 WEB if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Paul’s’ ultimate goal is to be in the resurrection of the dead. That is when Jesus calls out from above and those dead in the faith will rise from death first in new bodies! Then Believers who are alive will be changed into their new bodies.
Phil 3:12 WEB Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.
NOTICE How Paul says it here. He hasn’t obtained the resurrection of the dead yet. So he hasn’t yet been perfected yet. God hasn’t perfected him yet!
So God will perfect us when He raises us up from death in the new body that He has promised us.
As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6 –
1Cor 6:14 AKJV/PCE And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

¡Perdonanos nuestros pecados!

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.
Jesús dio este ejemplo de oración por nosotros –
Luke 11:1 RVG10 Y aconteció que estaba Él orando en cierto lugar, y cuando terminó, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Señor, enséñanos a orar, como también Juan enseñó a sus discípulos.
Luke 11:2 RVG10 Y les dijo: Cuando oréis, decid: Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo; santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino. Hágase tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra.
Luke 11:3 RVG10 El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy.
Luke 11:4 RVG10 Y perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también nosotros perdonamos a todos los que nos deben. Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del mal.
Y note aquí que en esta oración Jesús nos permite pedir perdón por nuestros pecados.
¡No hay perfección!
¡Todavía no somos perfectos en esta vida!
Pero sin duda debemos aspirar a esa meta de perfección cada día.
Si ni siquiera lo intentamos, ¡no tenemos esperanza de mejorar!
Me encanta cómo lo describe Pablo en Filipenses 3:
Phil 3:10 NBLA y conocerlo a Él, el poder de Su resurrección y la participación en Sus padecimientos, llegando a ser como Él en Su muerte,
Phil 3:11 NBLA a fin de llegar a la resurrección de entre los muertos.
El objetivo final de Pablo es estar en la resurrección de los muertos. Es entonces cuando Jesús llama desde arriba y los que murieron en la fe resucitarán primero en cuerpos nuevos. Entonces, los creyentes que estén vivos serán transformados en sus nuevos cuerpos.
Phil 3:12 NBLA No es que ya lo haya alcanzado o que ya haya llegado a ser perfecto, sino que sigo adelante, a fin de poder alcanzar aquello para lo cual también[k] fui alcanzado por Cristo Jesús.
FÍJATE en cómo lo dice Pablo aquí. Aún no ha obtenido la resurrección de los muertos. Por lo tanto, aún no ha sido perfeccionado. ¡Dios aún no lo ha perfeccionado!
Así que Dios nos perfeccionará cuando nos resucite de la muerte en el nuevo cuerpo que nos ha prometido.
Como escribe Pablo en 1 Corintios 6:
1Cor 6:14 NVI Con su poder Dios resucitó al Señor y nos resucitará también a nosotros.
