Jesus won’t let us drown!

Hi Friends! Here’s A Bible Thought For You.

Matt 14:25 WPNT So in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.
Matt 14:26 WPNT And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they became agitated saying, “It’s a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.
Matt 14:27 WPNT But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying: “Courage! It is I; don’t be afraid!”
Now Jesus started walking to them . . on the water!
And when the disciples saw Him they screamed! They thought He was a ghost!!
But Jesus told them to have some courage. It was Him!
Matt 14:28 WPNT So in answer Peter said, “Since it’s you, command me to come to you on the water”.
Matt 14:29 WPNT So He said to him, “Come!” And stepping down from the boat Peter walked on the water to go to Jesus.
Matt 14:30 WPNT But seeing the strong wind he became afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out saying, “Lord, save me!”
It seems like Peter was a bit of a spokesman for the disciples. And here he has one of his ‘I have to say something great’ moments. And he starts out OK.
So he tells the Lord “command me to come to you on the water”!
And Jesus says “Come!”.
Now Peter does really well at first. Much better than I would have done!
But then he looks at that strong wind and starts to sink!
Give credit – I would have already been under water! Would you have??
And Peter cried out “Lord, save me!”
Maybe that’s where we need to be most of the time!
Knowing that we can’t do it!
And Jesus did save him. And He’ll save us too!
Matt 14:31 WPNT And immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him and says to him: “You little-faith! Why did you doubt?”
Matt 14:32 WPNT And when they got into the boat the wind ceased.
Matt 14:33 WPNT Then those who were in the boat came and worshipped Him saying, “Truly you are the Son of God!”
POINT – Perhaps we have a Basic Principle here. It might help our faith to be a bit stronger.
UNDERSTAND . . We’re sinking fast!
But Jesus will come help us . . right in the middle of our raging storm.
Walking on that stormy water right up to us!
And He’ll reach down and lift us up out of that terrifying water!
The Lord won’t let us drown!
And we and the Lord will come out on dry land.
Amen!

¡Jesús no dejará que nos ahoguemos!

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.
Matt 14:25 RVG10 Y a la cuarta vigilia de la noche, Jesús vino a ellos andando sobre el mar.
Matt 14:26 RVG10 Y los discípulos, viéndole andar sobre el mar, se turbaron, diciendo: ¡Un fantasma! Y dieron voces de miedo.

Parece que Pedro era una especie de portavoz de los discípulos. Y aquí tiene uno de sus momentos de “Tengo que decir algo importante”. Y empieza bien.
Así que le dice al Señor: “¡Mándame ir a ti sobre las aguas!”.
Y Jesús le dice: “¡Ven!”.

Pero luego ve ese viento fuerte y empieza a hundirse.
¡Créanme! ¡Yo ya estaría bajo el agua! ¿Y ustedes lo habrían estado?
Y Pedro gritó: “¡Señor, sálvame!”.
¡Quizás así es como debemos estar la mayor parte del tiempo!
¡Sabiendo que no podemos hacerlo!
Y Jesús lo salvó. ¡Y nos salvará a nosotros también!
Matt 14:31 RVG10 Y al instante Jesús, extendiendo su mano, trabó de él, y le dijo: ¡Hombre de poca fe! ¿Por qué dudaste?
Matt 14:32 RVG10 Y cuando ellos entraron en la barca, se calmó el viento.
Matt 14:33 RVG10 Entonces los que estaban en la barca vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo: Verdaderamente tú eres el Hijo de Dios.
PUNTO – Quizás tengamos un Principio Básico aquí. Podría fortalecer nuestra fe un poco.
ENTIENDE… ¡Nos estamos hundiendo rápidamente!
Pero Jesús vendrá a ayudarnos… justo en medio de nuestra furiosa tormenta.
Caminando sobre esas aguas tormentosas ¡hasta nosotros!
¡Y Él nos extenderá y nos sacará de esas aguas aterradoras!
¡El Señor no permitirá que nos ahoguemos!
Y nosotros y el Señor saldremos a tierra firme.
¡Amén!
