Who is that rider with blood dipped clothes?

John Wharton 08-10-24

Hey Friends. Here is a Bible Thought for you today. 🙂

This made me think and search a little!

I this article blesses and encourages you.

Let’s look ahead a little bit. Shall we? 😀

Isaiah is on a bit of a roll here . . .

In Isaiah 61 he is saying that the Spirit of God is upon him . . God has

appointed him to say good things . .

Isa 61:1 ISV “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed and to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners;

Isa 61:2 ISV to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

Isa 61:3 ISV to provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes . . .

Isa 61:4 ISV They will rebuild the ancient ruins; they will restore the places long devastated; they will build again the ruined cities, they will build again the places devastated for many generations.

They will return to Israel from their bondage.

God is in the mood to avenge them on their enemies. Boy enemies look out!!

The people of Israel will build their places again!

Ruined ancient cities will arise again.

The Islamic peoples won’t like that!

But God will do it anyway!!

Isaiah 42 continues saying –

Isa 62:1 ISV “And I won’t remain silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I won’t stay quiet, until her vindication shines out like brightness, and her salvation like a burning torch.

Isa 62:2 ISV The nations will see your vindication, and all the kings your glory; and people will call you by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.

WOW!

The Kings . . Leaders of the nations will talk nice to Israel!

It will take God to make them do that . . .

The United Nations doesn’t have much nice to say about Israel right now . . .

But God’s going to settle those old scores . . .

He is going to hit the nations and settle them down!

LOOK!

Isa 63:1 ISV “Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, in garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in such splendor, marching in his great might? It is I, speaking in vindication, mighty to save.

Who is this? Here’s the answer –

Rev 19:11 ISV Then I saw heaven standing open, and there was a white horse! Its rider is named Faithful and True. He administers justice and wages war righteously.

Rev 19:12 ISV His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many royal crowns. He has a name written on him that nobody knows except himself.

Rev 19:13 ISV He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God.

Rev 19:14 ISV The armies of heaven, wearing fine linen, white and pure, follow him on white horses.

Rev 19:15 ISV A sharp sword comes out of his mouth to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod and tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

Christ is returning! And He is going to attack areas over there close to Israel! He’s going to hit them hard!

Then He will come west into the land of Israel to help in that last fight!

Isaiah saw that too –

Isa 63:2 ISV “Why is your clothing red, and your garments like those worn by the ones who tread in the winepress?

Isa 63:3 ISV “I have trodden the winepress alone, and from my people no one was with me, I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their lifeblood spattered on my garments, and I stained all my clothing.

It sounds like this day here at the end of those 7 years of Great Tribulation will be a Terrible time and a Wonderful time.

God will destroy the enemies around Israel!

Amen!
