Will Jesus find Faith on Earth?!

Hi Friends! Here’s A Bible Thought For You.

Luke 18:8 AKJV/PCE I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

The Context of this question from Jesus was a story showing that we must continue asking until God answers our prayers. A widow kept pertering a judge to give her vengeance against her adversary! And

What do You think Friends? Finally the Judge did this for her just so she would leave him alone! And Jesus concluded by saying this –

Luke 18:7 AKJV/PCE And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Luke 18:8 AKJV/PCE I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Interesting story. And Jesus is telling us to keep on praying for our needs. Even if those needs include vengeance against an enemy!

Will Jesus find faith in us? We need a Determination to keep on Praying and Pounding that Door of Heaven UNTIL the Father answers our prayers? We just won’t take No for an Answer! Now to some Christians that kind of thinking sounds Disrespectful. But Jesus shows that it’s Not Disrespectful at All!!

One of my Favorite passages of scripture is Luk3 11:1-10.

The disciples ask Jesus to teach them to pray. So here is the opportunity for Jesus to show us exactly what to think about prayer. And He uses the example of a man desperate for some food to help late night guests. He’s got to feed them!

And his neighbor won’t get up to give him anything!

So the desperate man keeps on knocking on the neighbors door! So that lazy neighbor does get up and give him all that he needs! Just to shut him up!

The example couldn’t be more clear. Don’t stop praying. Press on It. Keep on pounding on that door to Heaven. Whatever some Christians may think – No! We won’t offend the Father. It seems like God really likes to see us Press On In!

I remember one person in my Bible Studies who was taught that you prayed once for something and then just believed until you go the answer. And she would not accept any of these stories on Continuing to Pray! BUT I Noticed that she would ask for prayer for the Same Things every week! I guess she didn’t think that anybody noticed.

Look how the International Standard Version says this –

Luke 11:9 ISV So I say to you: Keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened for you,

Luke 11:10 ISV because everyone who keeps asking will receive, and the person who keeps searching will find, and the person who keeps knocking will have the door opened.

I have read about this – those Tenses in those Greek verbs do indicate a Continuing Action!

So God does too mean for us to keep on pressing in until we get the answers.

Now will Jesus Find Faith when He comes??

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.

Luke 18:8 RVG10 Os digo que pronto cobrará venganza por ellos. Pero cuando el Hijo del Hombre venga, ¿hallará fe en la tierra?

El contexto de esta pregunta de Jesús era una historia que mostraba que debemos seguir pidiendo hasta que Dios responda nuestras oraciones. Una viuda insistía en pervertir a un juez para que se vengara de su adversario. ¿Y qué opinan, amigos? ¡Finalmente, el juez hizo esto solo para que lo dejara en paz! Y Jesús concluyó diciendo:

Luke 18:7 RVG10 ¿Y no cobrará Dios venganza por sus escogidos, que claman a Él día y noche, aunque sea longánimo para con ellos?

Luke 18:8 RVG10 Os digo que pronto cobrará venganza por ellos. Pero cuando el Hijo del Hombre venga, ¿hallará fe en la tierra?

Una historia interesante. Y Jesús nos dice que sigamos orando por nuestras necesidades. ¡Incluso si esas necesidades incluyen venganza contra un enemigo!

¿Encontrará Jesús fe en nosotros? ¿Necesitamos la determinación de seguir orando y llamando a la puerta del Cielo HASTA que el Padre responda nuestras oraciones? ¡Simplemente no aceptaremos un no por respuesta! Para algunos cristianos, esa forma de pensar suena irrespetuosa. ¡Pero Jesús demuestra que no lo es en absoluto!

Uno de mis pasajes favoritos de las Escrituras es Lucas 3 11:1-10.

Los discípulos le piden a Jesús que les enseñe a orar. Así que aquí está la oportunidad para que Jesús nos muestre exactamente qué pensar sobre la oración. Y usa el ejemplo de un hombre desesperado por comida para ayudar a sus invitados nocturnos. ¡Tiene que alimentarlos!

¡Y su vecino no se levanta a darle nada!

Así que el hombre desesperado sigue llamando a la puerta del vecino. ¡Y ese vecino perezoso sí se levanta y le da todo lo que necesita! ¡Solo para callarlo!

El ejemplo es innegable. No dejes de orar. Persevera. Sigue tocando la puerta del Cielo. Piensen lo que piensen algunos cristianos: ¡No! No ofenderemos al Padre. ¡Parece que a Dios le gusta vernos perseverar!

Recuerdo a una persona en mis estudios bíblicos a quien le enseñaron que se oraba una vez por algo y luego simplemente se creía hasta obtener la respuesta. ¡Y no aceptaba ninguna de estas historias sobre “Seguir orando”! ¡Pero me di cuenta de que pedía oración por las mismas cosas todas las semanas! Supongo que no creía que nadie se diera cuenta.

Luke 11:9 NTV »Así que les digo, sigan pidiendo y recibirán lo que piden; sigan buscando y encontrarán; sigan llamando, y la puerta se les abrirá.

Luke 11:10 NTV Pues todo el que pide, recibe; todo el que busca, encuentra; y a todo el que llama, se le abrirá la puerta.

He leído sobre esto: ¡los tiempos verbales griegos sí indican una acción continua!

Así que Dios también quiere que sigamos insistiendo hasta obtener las respuestas.
