Hi Friends! Here’s A Bible Thought For You.

1Tim 1:20 AKJV/PCE Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

WOW!

That sure sounds Hard!

But there were some people in the Church who were really rebellious and wouldn’t listen to anyone! They caused Lots of trouble and Confusion!

They may have driven some from their faith in confusion! That’s serious!

And we see this Alexander the copper smith again soon in 2 Timothy 4:14!

He’s still causing just a tremendous amount of trouble for Paul.

2Tim 4:14 AKJV/PCE Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

So Paul prays for the Lord to repay Alexander for all of that trouble!

Now I know that the newer translations following the Critical text say something like –

2Tim 4:14 ESV2011 Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.

You may not agree with me but I really believe that the Byzantine Text Type is better than the Critical Text Type. And what Paul is praying there in 2 Timothy 4:14 KJV is not different or harder than what he says about giving Alexander and Hymenaeus over to Satan in 1 Timothy 1:20. And the Critical Text Translations have the same sense as the KJV.

So there are limits to turning the other cheek and simply forgiving. Some people just won’t stop and the damage the work of the Gospel in various ways. So we have to ask God for Tuff help to stabilize the situation!

We see this cry from the Saints for justice and vengeance even in heaven!

In Revelation 6:10 we see a the souls of those martyred during the Tribulation for their faith. It seems they have just entered heaven. And they are under the altar before the Father.

Now you would think that they were be praising God and Rejoicing that they are in heaven! But the First thing we see them say is a cry for speedy vengeance on those who mistreated them on earth!!

Rev 6:10 AKJV/PCE And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Now many Christians would criticize us for such a prayer. But the Father doesn’t rebuke them for crying out for vengeance! He just asks them to be patient.

WOW!

Hola amigos! Aquí tienes un pensamiento bíblico para ti.

¡Guau!

¡Eso sí que suena difícil!

Pero había algunas personas en la Iglesia que eran realmente rebeldes y no escuchaban a nadie. ¡Causaron muchos problemas y confusión!

¡Quizás alejaron a algunos de su fe por confusión! ¡Eso es serio!

¡Y pronto volvemos a ver a este Alejandro, el calderero, en 2 Timoteo 4:14!

Sigue causándole muchísimos problemas a Pablo.

2Tim 4:14 RVG10 Alejandro el calderero me ha causado muchos males; el Señor le pague conforme a sus hechos.

Así que Pablo ora para que el Señor le pague a Alejandro por todos esos problemas.

Ahora sé que las traducciones más recientes que siguen el texto crítico dicen algo así como…

2Tim 4:14 NVI Alejandro, el herrero, me ha hecho mucho daño. El Señor le dará su merecido.

Puede que no estés de acuerdo conmigo, pero creo firmemente que el Texto Bizantino es mejor que el Texto Crítico. Y lo que Pablo ora en 2 Timoteo 4:14 (RVR1960) no es diferente ni más difícil que lo que dice sobre entregar a Alejandro e Himeneo a Satanás en 1 Timoteo 1:20. Y las Traducciones del Texto Crítico tienen el mismo sentido que la RVR1960.

Así que hay límites para poner la otra mejilla y simplemente perdonar. Algunas personas simplemente no se detienen y dañan la obra del Evangelio de diversas maneras. Por eso, debemos pedirle a Dios ayuda para estabilizar la situación.

¡Vemos este clamor de los santos por justicia y venganza incluso en el cielo!

En Apocalipsis 6:10 vemos las almas de los martirizados durante la Tribulación por su fe. Parece que acaban de entrar al cielo. Y están bajo el altar ante el Padre.

¡Ahora pensarías que estarían alabando a Dios y regocijándose por estar en el cielo! ¡Pero lo primero que les vemos decir es un grito de venganza rápida contra quienes los maltrataron en la tierra!

Rev 6:10 RVG10 Y clamaban en alta voz diciendo: ¿Hasta cuándo, Señor, santo y verdadero, no juzgas y vengas nuestra sangre de los que moran en la tierra?

Muchos cristianos nos criticarían por esa oración. Pero el Padre no los reprende por clamar venganza. Solo les pide paciencia.
