Prophecy Line.
I’ll raise up Zion against you Oh Greece!

This is an interesting thought that I never hear anybody teach on.
The text is Zechariah 9:13 –
Zech 9:13 AKJV/PCE When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
Zechariah see’s far into the future to the End Times.
The Messiah’s coming –
Zech 9:9 AKJV/PCE ¶ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
And past that to the Millennium times –
Zech 9:10 AKJV/PCE And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
Zech 9:11 AKJV/PCE As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
No need for the huge arms industry that we have today. The Lord will speak peace to the Gentiles. His dominion will be over the earth.
Zech 9:12 AKJV/PCE ¶ Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
Zech 9:13 AKJV/PCE When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
Zech 9:14 AKJV/PCE And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
Now here in Zechariah 9:12-14 we see the Lord tell the prisoners of hope, Ephraim, the house of Israel, to return to the strong hold, the land of Israel.
God is going to use them to fight against the antichrist’s forces in the land of Israel.
But what is this about Greece in verse 13 above?
Will Israel and Greece be at war in the future.
I don’t think so.
UNDERSTAND – In Zechariah 9:13 above the Lord uses Greece a bit symbolically to refer to the kingdom of that little horn ruler (Daniel 7:8 and 8:9) , the beast (Revelation 11:7, 13:1). Paul calls him “that man of sin” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.
John alludes to him as the antichrist in1 John 2:18-19.
But why Greece. Doesn’t the antichrist come up within a revived Roman Empire.
Well yes Daniel does see this little horn rise up in the last days in the area of the ancient Roman Empire.
Dan 7:7 AKJV/PCE After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
Dan 7:8 AKJV/PCE I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
That fourth dreadful beast above is the Roman Empire. And yes the little horn – or whichever of the other names you prefer – does come up in the End Times in an area of the old Roman Empire.
But in Daniel 11 we see a prophecy of the history of the smaller Seleucid Greek Kingdom that grew out of part of Alexander’s Greek Empire.
And in Daniel 11:21 we again see that little horn ruler – the anitchrist. There he is called a “vile person”.
Dan 11:21 AKJV/PCE And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
NOTE That this vile ruler – the antichrist – is shown as rising up in the area of the old Seleucid Greek Kingdom around the land of Israel.
UNDERSTAND That that area was conquered by the Roman Empire.
So this antichrist ruler will arise in the area of the old Roman Empire.
But specifically in the area of that Seleucid Greek Kingdom out of Alexander’s old Greek Empire.
So God can refer to this future vile ruler as from Greece in a symbolic sense.
I hope that helps you understand these prophecies a bit better.

Levantaré a Sión contra ti, oh Grecia!

Este es un pensamiento interesante sobre el cual nunca escucho a nadie enseñar.
El texto es Zacarías 9:13 –
Zech 9:13 RVG10 Porque he entesado para mí a Judá como arco, llené a Efraín; y despertaré tus hijos, oh Sión, contra tus hijos, oh Grecia, y te haré como espada de valiente.
Zacarías ve un futuro lejano hasta el fin de los tiempos.
La venida del Mesías –
Zech 9:9 RVG10 Alégrate mucho, hija de Sión; da voces de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén: he aquí, tu Rey vendrá a ti, Él es justo y salvador, humilde, y cabalgando sobre un asno, sobre un pollino hijo de asna.
Y más allá de eso hasta los tiempos del Milenio…
Zech 9:10 RVG10 Y de Efraín destruiré los carros, y los caballos de Jerusalén; y los arcos de guerra serán quebrados; y hablará paz a las naciones; y su señorío será de mar a mar, y desde el río hasta los confines de la tierra.
Zech 9:11 RVG10 Y tú también por la sangre de tu pacto serás salva; yo he sacado a tus presos de la cisterna en la que no hay agua.
No hay necesidad de la enorme industria armamentista que tenemos hoy. El Señor hablará paz a los gentiles. Su dominio será sobre la tierra.
Zech 9:12 RVG10 Volveos a la fortaleza, oh prisioneros de esperanza; hoy también os anuncio que os restauraré el doble.
Zech 9:13 RVG10 Porque he entesado para mí a Judá como arco, llené a Efraín; y despertaré tus hijos, oh Sión, contra tus hijos, oh Grecia, y te haré como espada de valiente.
Zech 9:14 RVG10 Y Jehová será visto sobre ellos, y su saeta saldrá como un relámpago; y Jehová el Señor tocará la trompeta, e irá con torbellinos del sur.
Ahora aquí en Zacarías 9:12-14 vemos al Señor decirle a los prisioneros de la esperanza, Efraín, la casa de Israel, que regresen a la fortaleza, la tierra de Israel.
Dios los usará para luchar contra las fuerzas del anticristo en la tierra de Israel.
Pero, ¿qué es esto acerca de Grecia en el versículo 13 anterior?
¿Estarán Israel y Grecia en guerra en el futuro?
No me parece.
COMPRENDER – En Zacarías 9:13 arriba, el Señor usa Grecia un poco simbólicamente para referirse al reino de ese gobernante del cuerno pequeño (Daniel 7:8 y 8:9), la bestia (Apocalipsis 11:7, 13:1). Pablo lo llama “aquel hombre de pecado” en 2 Tesalonicenses 2:3.
Juan alude a él como el anticristo en 1 Juan 2:18-19.
Pero ¿por qué Grecia? ¿No surge el anticristo dentro de un Imperio Romano revivido?
Bueno, sí, Daniel ve este cuerno pequeño levantarse en los últimos días en el área del antiguo Imperio Romano.
Dan 7:7 RVG10 Después de esto miraba yo en las visiones de la noche, y he aquí la cuarta bestia, espantosa y terrible, y en grande manera fuerte; la cual tenía unos dientes grandes de hierro: devoraba y desmenuzaba, y las sobras hollaba con sus pies: y era muy diferente de todas las bestias que habían sido antes de ella, y tenía diez cuernos.
Dan 7:8 RVG10 Y mientras yo contemplaba los cuernos, he aquí que otro cuerno pequeño subía entre ellos, y delante de él fueron arrancados tres cuernos de los primeros; y he aquí, en este cuerno había ojos como ojos de hombre, y una boca que hablaba grandezas.
Esa cuarta bestia terrible de arriba es el Imperio Romano. Y sí, el cuerno pequeño – o cualquiera de los otros nombres que prefiera – aparece en el Fin de los Tiempos en un área del antiguo Imperio Romano.
Pero en Daniel 11 vemos una profecía de la historia del pequeño reino griego seléucida que surgió de parte del Imperio griego de Alejandro.
Y en Daniel 11:21 vemos nuevamente ese gobernante del cuerno pequeño: el anitcristo. Allí lo llaman “persona vil”.
Dan 11:21 RVG10 Y en su lugar se levantará un hombre vil, al cual no darán la honra del reino; pero vendrá con paz, y tomará el reino con halagos.
NOTA: Este vil gobernante, el anticristo, se muestra levantándose en el área del antiguo Reino griego seléucida alrededor de la tierra de Israel.
ENTENDER Que esa zona fue conquistada por el Imperio Romano.
Entonces este gobernante anticristo surgirá en el área del antiguo Imperio Romano.
Pero específicamente en el área de ese Reino griego seléucida fuera del antiguo Imperio griego de Alejandro.
De modo que Dios puede referirse a este futuro gobernante vil como de Grecia en un sentido simbólico.
Espero que te ayude a comprender un poco mejor estas profecías.
