Grace and Authority Witnessed and Multiplied!

Matt 14:19 AKJV/PCE And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

Matt 14:20 AKJV/PCE And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

Matt 14:21 AKJV/PCE And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

This miracle shows us Jesus Power, Miracles, and His Concern for His people!

Those Numbers also tell us a story.

Five loaves. Five is connected with God’s Grace and Redemption.

REMEMBEAR That Jesus is the bread of life (John 6:35).

Also Google’s AI Overview explains that we see Five kinds of animal sacrifices –

Goats, sheep, cattle, pigeons, and doves.

And Amazingly God changes Abram’s name to Abraham by adding the letter/number 5! That Five shows a new identity and a deeper covenant with God.

In these examples we see God’s Grace and Redemption of mankind!

Two fish. Two is connected with witnesses among other things.

There is the Old Testament and the New Testament.

God has Two Witnesses during the first half of the Great Tribulation –

Rev 11:3 AKJV/PCE And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Jesus sent His Disciples out by Twos to proclaim His coming and as Witness against those who refused their witness –

Mark 6:7 AKJV/PCE ¶ And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Mark 6:11 AKJV/PCE And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them . . .

Five Thousand Men. Remember that Five is connected with God’s Grace and redemption of mankind. So here we see God’s Grace to us multiplied a Thousand Fold!

And Twelve Basket’s! Twelve Baskets of Food was left!

And Twelve is connected with God’s Power, Authority and Government!

Jacob had Twelve sons founding the Twelve Tribes!

And Jesus had the Twelve Apostles founding the early Church!

So we have God’s Grace and Redemption in Abundance – Witnessed by God and Man and Pointing to God’s Coming Kingdom on this Earth! WOW!
