Look at David for an example.

In the Psalms we can see his different thoughts at the time.

Ps 4:1 AKJV/PCE To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

Ps 4:3 AKJV/PCE But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

In Psalm 4 I get a sense of Hear me when I call . . . as in HELP ME NOW!

I feel that way a lot. So I can understand David’s concern.

And he remembers pretty quickly that the Lord will hear and help.

Ps 13:1 AKJV/PCE To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

Ps 13:2 AKJV/PCE How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Ps 13:3 AKJV/PCE Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Ps 13:5 AKJV/PCE But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Now David feels really alone!

God is hiding from David . . . and his enemies are winning!

Ever feel that way?

David is afraid he is going to die!

But finally David remembers that the Lord will save him from these problems.

Ps 23:1 AKJV/PCE A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Ps 23:4 AKJV/PCE Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Here we see David having more confidence in the Lord.

He doesn’t mention the bad times until well into the Psalm.

And then he is already sure that the Lord will protect and keep him.

Ps 34:1 AKJV/PCE A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Ps 34:2 AKJV/PCE My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

Ps 34:4 AKJV/PCE I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Here in Psalm 34 David starts out confident in the Lord.

And when he does mention troubles the Lord has already helped him with them.

The Psalms don’t necessarily all flow in Chronological Order. But we still can see that later in David’s life, with more experience, he has more faith in God.

And we can too as we grow in grace and knowledge of God’s ways.

2Pet 3:18 AKJV/PCE But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Mire a David como ejemplo.

En los Salmos podemos ver sus diferentes pensamientos en aquella época.

Ps 4:1 RVG10 «Al Músico principal: sobre Neginot: Salmo de David» Respóndeme cuando clamo, oh Dios de mi justicia; estando en angustia, tú me hiciste ensanchar; ten misericordia de mí, y oye mi oración.

Ps 4:3 RVG10 Sabed, pues, que Jehová hizo apartar al piadoso para sí; Jehová oirá cuando yo a Él clamare.

En el Salmo 4 Tengo la sensación de escucharme cuando llamo. . . como en ¡AYÚDAME AHORA!

Me siento así muchas veces. Entonces puedo entender la preocupación de David.

Y recuerda muy rápidamente que el Señor lo escuchará y lo ayudará.

Ps 13:1 RVG10 «Al Músico principal: Salmo de David» ¿Hasta cuándo, Jehová? ¿Me olvidarás para siempre? ¿Hasta cuándo esconderás tu rostro de mí?

Ps 13:2 RVG10 ¿Hasta cuándo pondré consejos en mi alma, con ansiedad en mi corazón cada día? ¿Hasta cuándo será enaltecido mi enemigo sobre mí?

Ps 13:3 RVG10 Mira, óyeme, Jehová Dios mío; alumbra mis ojos, para que no duerma en muerte;

Ps 13:5 RVG10 mas yo en tu misericordia he confiado; se alegrará mi corazón en tu salvación.

¡Ahora En el Salmo 13 David se siente realmente solo!

Dios se esconde de David. . . ¡Y sus enemigos están ganando!

¿Alguna vez te has sentido así?

¡David tiene miedo de morir!

Pero finalmente David recuerda que el Señor lo salvará de estos problemas.

Ps 23:1 RVG10 «Salmo de David.» Jehová es mi pastor; nada me faltará.

Ps 23:4 RVG10 Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte, no temeré mal alguno; porque tú estarás conmigo; tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento.

Aquí En el Salmo 23 vemos a David teniendo más confianza en el Señor.

No menciona los malos tiempos hasta bien entrado el Salmo.

Y entonces ya está seguro de que el Señor lo protegerá y lo guardará.

Ps 34:1 RVG10 «Salmo de David, cuando mudó su semblante delante de Abimelec, y él lo echó, y se fue» Bendeciré a Jehová en todo tiempo; su alabanza estará siempre en mi boca.

Ps 34:2 RVG10 En Jehová se gloriará mi alma; lo oirán los mansos, y se alegrarán.

Ps 34:4 RVG10 Busqué a Jehová, y Él me oyó, y me libró de todos mis temores.

Aquí en el Salmo 34, David comienza confiado en el Señor.

Y cuando menciona problemas, el Señor ya lo ha ayudado con ellos.

No todos los Salmos necesariamente fluyen en orden cronológico. Pero todavía podemos ver que más adelante en la vida de David, con más experiencia, tiene más fe en Dios.

Y nosotros también podemos hacerlo a medida que crecemos en la gracia y el conocimiento de los caminos de Dios.
