And we see those powers in place Right Now!
1 Ezekiel see’s a Great Northern Power that comes out of the Far North to invade the land of Israel! This is Russia and her Confederation of allies.
NOTE – Ezekiel 38-39 are sometimes called the Russian Chapters.
Ezek 38:14 ESV2011 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord GOD: On that day when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not know it?
Ezek 38:15 ESV2011 You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army.
When did Russia become such a World Power?
After World War II.

NOTICE – Those Merchants of Tarshish = Spain.
AND In the Broader sense that exists now and on into the End Times this is the Western World that has so much Economic, Political and Military Power!
NATO!
Interestingly, Sheba and Dedan are mentioned. These place names indicate Saudi Arabia which is in Good Relations with the West.
A Google Search indicates that the U.S. Is Saudi Arabia’s largest Trading Partner!
And Saudi Arabia is the largest U.S. Export Market in the Middle East.
When did the United States become such a World Power?
The United States became a World Power in the late 19th Century.
We rose to prominence during the 20th Century.
And we became a Super Power after World War II.
And we at Present are the Only Remaining Super Power!
3 Now Daniel see’s a Future Vile Ruler (Daniel 11:21) in the Middle East who has a Lot of Control. Many see him as the one John calls antichrist (1 John 2:18). Paul calls him “that man of sin” (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
BUT at the end of his allotted time Future Vile Ruler is threatened by Powers out of the North and the East who come at him!
Dan 11:44 HCSB But reports from the east and the north will terrify him, and he will go out with great fury to annihilate and completely destroy many.
We already Know that Russia will come toward the land of Israel (See Ezekiel 38:14-15 above).
And now we also see in Daniel 11:44 that another great power from the East will also come at this Vile Little Ruler in the Middle East! And he is scared!
That Great Eastern Power is China and allies.
Interestingly, John sees this Eastern move towards the Middle East in the Revelation!
Rev 16:12 ESV2011 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east.
SEE THAT? The Lord has to dry up the Euphrates River to help China get across!
So Stop worrying about China! They clearly are Not going to take over the world!
They need a Miracle from God to make it to that Middle Eastern War in time!!
ALSO – This is the Sixth Bowl poured out. There are only Seven of them.
So this happens right as those End Times Judgments are coming to an End!
Jesus Christ is getting ready to Return to Rule (See Revelation 19:11-21).
We call that Jesus Second Coming!
POINT – This Power Struggle – The West (USA, NATO), The Far North (Russia and Allies), and the Far East (China and Allies) started developing after World War II.
And this Uneasy Balance Of Power is Still in Effect.
And Ezekiel and John see it continuing on to Jesus Second Coming to Rule This Earth!
